Job Responsbilities:
Managing all aspects of operations of dry bulk vessels including but not limited to:
- Declaring all charter-in vessels with the club insuring charterers’ liability and FD&D risks
- Preparing and sending voyage instructions, maximizing cargo intake (under voyage charter), appointing agents and surveyor
- Arranging bunkering and paying the bunker bill.
- Paying hire/port disbursements/bunker price, collecting freight and calculating laytime.
- Ensuring M/R, Bills of Lading, SOF etc are correctly issued
- Anticipating problems in advance and take proactive actions to achieve the most cost-effective result.
- Responding to any problems arising and taking appropriate corrective measures.
- Solving disputes commercially or legally as needed
Candidate Requirements:
Maritime degree at least at Bachelor level (shipping operations etc).
Substantial operational experience in dry cargo.
Sailing experience an advantage.
