Project Description:As a Senior MxML Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and enhancing Murex XML (MxML) workflows, focusing on post-trade and pre-trade workflows in the financial markets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, technical consultants, and clients, to ensure robust and scalable solutions are delivered, meeting the evolving needs of the financial institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement MxML workflows, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and translate them into effective Murex solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of the development, including configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of MxML workflows.
- Optimize MxML scripts for efficient performance and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership in debugging complex issues in the MxML interface and collaborating with relevant teams to ensure resolutions are achieved promptly.
- Work closely with clients to support Murex environments, troubleshoot issues, and provide strategic solutions.
- Mentor junior team members, helping them to grow technically and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with the best practices and standards in the development and deployment of MxML components.
Mandatory Skills Description:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Murex with a strong focus on MxML development.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and maintaining MxML workflows (post-trade and pre-trade).
- Strong understanding of the Murex architecture and modules such as Murex DataMart, Murex Integration, and MxML Exchange.
- Experience in working with various Murex interfaces, integration with upstream and downstream systems, and ensuring robust data flows.
- Proficiency in Murex 3.x platform, with experience in SWIFT, FpML, and other messaging protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to debug and solve complex technical issues in Murex environments.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to gather and clarify requirements and provide solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- Knowledge of financial products and markets, particularly in the areas of FX, Rates, and Commodities.
- Experience with Oracle/Sybase databases and UNIX environments for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting workflows within Murex.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Murex certification or relevant Murex training.
- Exposure to Murex upgrade projects or large-scale Murex implementations.
