The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining overall maintenance operations of entire Hotel facility, including guest rooms, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, fire protection system, kitchen equipments, emergency power system, sewage system and related equipment in accordance with guest service, preventive maintenance and energy conservation standards and programs. Responsibilities

• Assists on routine preventive maintenance on equipment under the direction of Chief Engineer. This includes guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets and back of house, laundry & kitchen equipment, heating, and air handling units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire equipment and plumbing etc. These are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
• Champions work order assignment program for to complete work orders. Prioritizes and completes work orders in a timely manner. Monitors all deficiencies. Communicates to the requesting party upon completion when needed.
• Carries out inspection of guest rooms after Preventive Maintenance. Reviews any problems with the Preventive Maintenance team and recheck room/suite before releasing to Housekeeping/Front Office.
• Assists in developing, implement and manage emergency programs for the operation and maintenance of all equipment and physical structures in compliance with corporate standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests and associates, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the short and long term planning and day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department.
• Reports to Chief Engineer, on a regular basis, regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structures, guest areas, service areas, related systems and equipment offering prudent and cost effective proposals for maintaining the same. Reviews reports, and initiates appropriate actions to carry out maintenance work effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures maintenance of swimming pool, water features and spa are done according to manufacturer specifications; PPHG standards and local Health Department Regulations.
• Promptly responds to guest requests in a friendly manner and follow up to ensure highest quality of service to guest satisfaction at all times.
• Responsible for any other tasks assigned by Chief Engineer or Director of Operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management, or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.

The Opportunity

We own, evolve and support the technology platforms that handle the post-execution processing for the Securities Execution, Prime Clearing, and Prime Brokerage businesses. About the team

Our team consists of 19 people in Singapore and around 100 globally. Almost all of our projects are cross-location and cross-function, meaning we work directly with Front Office, Operations, Legal, Tax, and our Engineering colleagues from those areas, across the wider firm.

We work directly with Operations and Securities sales/trading, to design and implement, a wide range of functions including trade aggregators, trade matchers, payment systems, intercompany trade booking and settlement systems, and connectivity to exchanges, counterparties and vendors. Our Exception Workflow and Business Intelligence tooling allows our Operations teams to respond to client enquiries and monitor service levels.

Role description
Working as part of a Category team that operates as part of an overall Global Technology Sourcing team. Making an ongoing, tangible contribution to cost efficiency and commercial/contractual risk management, through:

Responsibilities:

• Supporting and maintaining the office network systems (Microsoft, Lotus Notes, Firewall, Leased / ADSL lines, Web Portal etc)
• Administer Active Directory O365, Hyper-V & VMWare(Windows), Network Servers inclusive of installing Operating Systems & Software, IT Security & Compliance
• Handling & managing Active Directory Server & MS Azure/EMS
• Handling of Infrastructure (Firewall), Servers backup & Recovery.
• Servicing of users requests and providing support for all in-house software & requirements.
• Involve in troubleshooting and resolving of servers & desktops problems.
• Carrying out the upgrading of the office systems (network, servers, desktops & related equipment / software).
• Maintain proper records of all equipment, software, incidents, activities and services provided
• Assisting in the disposing of obsolete, defective or non-serviceable equipment.
• As and when required, will provide briefing to the users on the usage of the office systems (standard applications, office network and related processes).

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Possess 1 year experience as MIS Executive or System Administrator related role.
• Possess knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (server & client), AD Server, Office 365 Administration, MS Azure / EMS Implementation, Hyper-V, Lotus Notes / Domino, Backup Application (such as Arcserve, Acronis, Symantec Backup Exec, etc) and other software applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Independently carry out Design Safety Philosophy, HSE Plan and specifications for fire protection systems (Active and passive), HFE, etc.
• Participate in Process Hazard reviews and analysis, including HAZOP/HAZID/SIL studies and be responsible for actions close-out
• Lead/Chair the HAZOP/HAZID/SIL workshops, if required
• Review third Party safety studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study, QRA studies, etc. (not limited to)
• Capable of independently carrying out similar safety studies, as required
• Independently design active and passive fire protection systems and prepare Hazardous/H2S Area Classification documentation, safety and fire fighting layouts, escape route and lifesaving equipment layout, and other safety drawings
• Carry out safety critical elements performance standards, RAM, fire and gas detection mapping, etc., based on project requirements
• Act as Package Engineer for safety and firefighting equipment
• Manage and guide Junior/Senior Engineers and Designers on Concept/FEED/Detailed Engineering projects
• Provide health and environmental inputs (including health risk assessments such as chemical exposure, noise and lighting, Ergonomics/Human Factors Engineering, environmental impact assessments, etc.) to projects
• Interface/Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and clients, and take the lead in resolving technical matters related to safety aspects.
• Deliver project safety deliverables as per project schedule
• Provide inputs and support to projects in all safety aspects, including progress reports

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
• Minimum 22 years of relevant design engineering experience
• Good HSE Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, in process safety/technical safety, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a Lead position on similar projects
• Involvement in design projects for offshore (FPSO/Platforms) and onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminals, etc.)
• Experience in a minimum number of offshore projects (FPSO/Platforms)
• Good knowledge of oil and gas process facilities, local and international process safety codes and standards, and regulatory/marine codes and standards (MODU, SOLAS, DNV/Lloyds Register)
• Hands-on experience in plot plan review, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/verification, and other safety reviews (e.g., SIMOPS, ALARP)
• Good working knowledge of PIPENET Vision, Flaresim, and other consequence modeling software such as DNV PHAST, etc
• Ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
• A team player with leadership potential and proactive inter-discipline communication skills
