Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations and Customer Servicing Intern to support the daily operations and ensure a seamless customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to learn about operational logistics and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Servicing:

• Respond to and manage customer queries and orders via WhatsApp Business in a timely and professional manner.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.
  

2. Operational Management:

• Plan, track, manage, and coordinate daily delivery routes and the movement of orders across locations to ensure prompt delivery.
• Record daily customer orders and oversee the end-to-end process, including payment collection and order scheduling
• Handle ad-hoc tasks to meet daily operational and logistical needs.
  

3. Strategy and Reporting:

• Prepare necessary data and financial reports (e.g., End-of-Month tracking reports) to support business operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer servicing channels and improve efficiency over time.

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop test cases with sufficient coverage to meet the Definition of Done
• Write and maintain automated test scripts for Python applications
• Analyse and improve on the existing testing pipeline(s) for stability and scalability
• Participate in and contribute to various technical and non-technical discussions

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science or related technical field in local universities.
• Experience with algorithms, and software design
• Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages
• Experience with Python and pytest will be a plus

Responsibilities:

• Allocate Learning Center training room resources efficiently by addressing incoming requests.
• Oversee all aspects of day-to-day events, including preparing training rooms, setting-up of Audio Visual (AV) equipment (For hybrid meetings) and ensuring high-quality service for clients and participants.
• Set up and arrange training rooms to accommodate the specific needs of different events.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on event requirements and expectations, coordinating logistics.
• Coordinate with external food & beverage and transportation vendors for events hosted at the Learning Center, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
• Assist in the logistics and execution of training programs and events, including hotel bookings, visa invitations, transportation, and technical setup as required.
• Manage pantry supplies and stationary inventory, ordering, monitoring and replenishing to maintain the smooth operation of the Learning Center.
• Ensure cleanliness and functionality of Learning Center facilities, upholding high standards of presentation to provide a conducive learning environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by supporting clients and participants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Higher Nitec in Event Management, Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Comfortable with physical tasks (arrangement of tables & chairs) and capable of managing food & beverage arrangements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication skills, actively listening to understand internal and external stakeholders and embracing a collaborative approach
• Meticulous attention to detail in logistics, room setup, and inventory management.
• Good customer service skills, promptly addressing inquiries.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support in updating new item information (e.g. pallet configuration, product setting, assigning pick location)
• Provide support in monitoring inventory management, return to supplier and returns from stores and ensure follow-up actions with various PICs
• To regularly perform inventory checks to make sure that inventory tally with the system, and the expiry date key into the system tally with the physical stocks.
• To assist PMD/IS request for value added service such as repacking, checking of expiry date, checking of quality issues etc.
• To assist to hold the stocks upon request from PMD or if the stocks have quality issue
• Assist manager to prepare reports
• Provide support to the project team in testing, SOP formation, training and migration.

• Diploma/Degree undergraduate in logistics/supply chain, engineering or business related field
• Experience in supervisory role or hands on operationswill be an added advantage
• Proven experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Excellent documentation and data analytical skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience in leading and developing top performing teams.

• Working hours: 8.15am to 5.35pm (Mon to Fri)
