Job Description:

• Conduct preventive, corrective maintenance & installation on monitoring systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system functionality.
• Proficiently interprete engineers' 2D drawings provided by Design engineer, ensuring accurate assembly procedures.
• Execute hands-on machine assembly setups, demonstrate precision and attention to details throughout the process.
• Conduct panel wiring for product testing, ensuring functionality and adherence to specifications.
• Possess extensive knowledge in wiring AC/DC, relay systems and PLC, contributing to efficient and reliable system operations.
• Apply expertise in panel and PLC wiring setups at production lines, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Employ observational analysis to identify root causes of operational issues in devices, contribute to efficient problem-solving strategies.

• Monitor the global hotline and provides the initial response to the requests or escalations.
• Create the ticket for every OPS activity and assign it to respective OPS Team members.
• Monitor all the OPS tickets and ensure timely completion of each activities.
• Review all the documentation prepared by OPS Team to clear for submission.
• Monitor all the assets of OPS Team (Equipment, Tools and Spare Parts).
• Escalate higher level issue whenever necessary.
• Prepare and submit relevant Operations documents as needed.
• Execute ad hoc tasks on behalf of the Robotics Operations Team as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or other related fields is preferred.
• Basic background in engineering or technology industry.
• Proficiency in using computers and basic applications such as MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

The Senior System Engineer, R&D is responsible for designing, building, and testing complex or large-scale, systems, ensuring that the components of the system are integrated and function. The incumbent determines the overall structure of the system, organizes the interaction between components, and evaluates the influence of the environment.

This position is part of the SCIEX Research and Development organization and will be located in Singapore. We empower our customers to solve the most impactful analytical challenges in quantitation and characterization through ground-breaking innovation and outstanding reliability and support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Define system architecture to provide desired functionality in product based on User Needs and regional Regulatory Standards. Thereafter generate the system requirements specification (SRS) based on the architectural decisions and technology choices made.
• Work with engineering disciplines to decompose System/Subsystem Requirements Specifications (SRS/SSRS) and allocate to subsystems. Thereafter, lead/oversee the development of SSRS working jointly with the Subsystem Technical Leads to ensure that the content is developed by the appropriate subject matter experts to achieve performance, functionality and reliability.
• Ensure that SCIEX Systems Engineering Processes are adhered to as per internal documents.
• Perform, lead/or participate in feasibility study, technical design reviews and FMEA in projects where necessary and ensure the mitigations are in place for potential risks. Identify gaps in design proposals, technical capabilities / techniques, and supports the development of strategies to overcome them through DFM & DFS practices.
• Provide technical support and investigation to field escalation and drive design improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• M.Sc. / Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in New Product Development environment working with complex integrated systems
• Good knowledge with precision injection and fluidic control, Injections Electrokinetic and / or Electrospray ionization will be an advantage.
• DFSS knowledge and experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

• The position requires traveling to company locations and customer sites in US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China. The successful candidate should be prepared to travel up to 20% of the time.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Technologies such as electrophoresis sodium dodecyl sulfate (CE-SDS), ribonucleic acid (RNA) analysis and / or glycan characterization analysis.
• Capillary isoelectric focusing (cIEF) and imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF).
