Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

• Execute and oversee the collections department’s daily operational activities
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimise delinquency rates and reduce bad debt.
• Analyse collection metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure targets are met.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall customer experience and resolve issues
• Manage communication with customers regarding overdue accounts, using a balanced approach of firmness and empathy.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and negotiate payment arrangements or settlements.
• Develop customer retention strategies to enhance loyalty and minimise defaults.
• Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements related to collections and hire purchase agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interaction and payment agreements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline collections operations and to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry best practices.
• Liaise with solicitors regarding collections disputes and escalations.
• Other ad-hoc activities assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ proven collections experience in the hire purchase or financial services industry
• Minimum Degree or equivalent qualification
• Strong knowledge of the Hire Purchase Act is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to converse with Mandarin speaking associates
