Roles & Responsibilities

· Building, Road & Structure Inspection & Maintenance
· The Project Engineer is reporting to the Project Manager / Supervisor.
· Handling technical and engineering issues.

· Report and prepare with given report template for the inspection outcome.
· Ensure safe work procedures are implemented at site.
· Ensure projects meet authority standards.
· Other Ad-hoc related duties assigned by the company

1. Assist Project Engineer and Manager on day-to-day management, site technical/ engineering matters and authority submissions.
2. Assist to prepare method statements, monthly progress claims measurement and reports.
3. Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and consultants.
4. Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications
5. Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards & contractual specifications.
6. Able to Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
7. Ensuring environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times.
8. Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

Job Purpose

1. Overall in charge for all Planned Preventive Maintenance as well as Corrective

Maintenance works related to Track, Track Foundation, Trackbed and 3rd Rail System in

SMRT

2. Ensure all Line Maintenance works (PM & CM) are complied with approved quality

procedure, work instruction ( ISO 9002 Standard)

3. To achieve and maintain Key Performance Indicator set by Permanent Way Management.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all staff’s welfare, attendance, disciplinary matters, safety and maintenance

work matters.

2. To submit weekly maintenance programme to LM.

3. To prepare monthly report on team man-hours

4. To upkeep and maintain the office.

5. To coordinate with Chief Controller on all fault reports and arrange for proper deployment

to execute the work.

6. To plan out all Correction & Preventive Maintenance works and ensure it is carried out

promptly and comply to approved quality procedure and WIs.

7. To check, compile Daily Work Record submit by staff.

8. To conduct and brief staff on Toolbox briefing

9. To carry out project implementation as and when assigned by supervisor.

10. To perform PIC & PM roles.

11. To attend to Emergency work when call by Supervisor.

12. To assist LM on Track Quality report by :

- Reviewing and verify patrol reports.

- Assist with fault card

- Monitor and priorities assessment of track defect and quality.

- Input work request into Pway CM list.

- Monitor & coordinate work done in Pway CM list.

Job Requirements

1. Higher NITEC / NITEC / NTC preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Preferably 3 years relevant working experience in technical work. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
