Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope :

• Responsible for buying and proactively manage all purchases and shipments of ships' spares and stores, bunker and lub oil from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas
• Source for vendors and quotations
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms / quotations with local and overseas suppliers and preparation of PO
• Perform daily operational purchasing matters and co-ordinate shipping documentation, logistics and schedules
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements
• Assist in carrying out repair maintenance and servicing of vessels to the instructions of the Technical Manager
• Assist in carrying out the negotiations with Class Surveyors relative to the surveys on board vessels, and reporting to the Technical Manager
• Communicate with our seamen crews daily on operations matter
• Liaise with Jurong Port, PSA, MPA and stevedores on operations matter
• Liaise with Agents in Malayisa, Indonesia and Thailand on operations matter

Job Requirement :

• Candidate must possess at least a GCE O-Level Certificate
• With 2 years of working experience in relevant field
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently and with a cross functional team
• Have good time management whilst working under tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate, negotiate and build relationships
• 5 Days week at Lower Delta Road
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice

**Purchasing Duties:**

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Analyze sales trends and forecast future purchasing needs.
- Liaise with suppliers, including overseas factories, to negotiate pricing and ensure timely deliveries.
- Evaluate and select reliable suppliers based on performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with company policies.

**Marketing Duties:**
- Manage e-commerce platforms and optimize online store performance.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including promotions, advertisements, and events.
- Develop marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, presenting ROI reports to management.
- Organize and participate in trade shows or corporate events to promote the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to Deputy General Manager and Engineering Admin Manager.
• Issue and process purchase order
• File and maintain records of purchase orders
• Order, replenish and manage office stationery supplies and inventory.
• Performs administrative functions and support to Engineering Admin team
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENT:

• GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ / Diploma / Relevant qualification.
• Strong in Microsoft word and excel application.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Meticulous and able to work independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Singaporean and SPR only.
• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.

Job Descriptions

• To assist the Purchasing department in preparing the Purchase Order and other internal documents as required based on correct specifications
• Comparing freight charges from different forwarders for all import shipments.
• Responsible for coordinating shipments with suppliers locally and overseas to warehouse
• Liaison with Finance, Warehousing, 3rd party couriers to ensure goods are received in satisfactory quality and quantity
• Plan weekly import shipments schedule for warehouse.
• Handling day to day paperwork to ensure smooth flow of goods deliveries
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• PC Literate – particularly Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Excellent eye for detail
• Be able to input data accurately
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Adaptable, flexible and highly-organised team player
• Affinity with the products
• Prior experience in Shipping Coordination is a MUST
