Responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure for the organisation’s local and regional needs.
· Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems
· Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
· Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3
· Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
· Ensure necessary system security by using best-in-class cloud security solutions
· Analysing complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment
· Maintaining all the software and hardware in relation to security
· Documenting security certification
· Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats
· Threat intelligence - Sourcing and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organisation
· Conducting proactive research to analyse security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
· Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions
· Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection
· Experienced in Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks
· Ensure network security best practices are executed through scheduled auditing: router, change control, switch, firewall configurations, and monitoring
· Responsible for periodic vulnerability testing, and lead remediation projects
· Articulate systems and methodologies as well as reply to security-related events and support in remediation efforts
· Maintains Unified Communications, VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms
· Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment
· Perform problem management and incident correlation on re-occurring issues
· Create and provide reports for backup and storage environments, related activities, and tasks
· Create and update documentation for backup environments
· Be an escalation point on all backup issues
· Must have NAS and SAN storage as well as NetBackup experience, which is mandatory
· Work with Project team to prepare project scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware servers)
· Experienced in sourcing, validating and providing cost-effective security solutions
· Always up to date with the latest security threats and solutions
· Excellent professional communication skills that go beyond “tech talk” – the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
· Strong time management and organisational skills
· Shift work - must be available to support 24/7 (Online for contingency purposes/Onsite at all times)
· Must be able to work on weekends and Public Holidays to support scheduled system maintenance (rest days will be scheduled during weekdays)
· Must travel to all branches of the organisation regularly as scheduled to support networking/continuity needs/issues
Requirements:
· Degree in Engineering/Computer Science
· At least 5 years of experience in Project Delivery Life Cycle, Management and Deployment of IT systems
· Possess Cisco CCNP & SDWAN certification
· Possess Routing and switching skillset
· Possess SDWAN & SASE skillset
· At least 5 years of experience in Cisco ASA Firewall and strong routing and switching experience is an added advantage
· Knowledge of networking concepts such as WAN connectivity, transport types and protocols, and experience with wireless technology and Wireless deployment for a user base over 500 users per site
· Cisco orientated IOS understanding, working with Routers and Switch
· Platforms and Experience working with stakeholders at an Operational Level
· Extensive technical know-how of security network devices (switches, antivirus, firewalls, cryptography, SIEM) and any other security networking hardware or software tools
