About The Role

About The Role

We value the importance of having a robust engineering team that would serve as a key pillar for sustained commercial success. To that end, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join us on this journey. In this role, you will be part of our fast-growing team and will take ownership of your role from the get-go. You will be working on the electrical interfaces of our robot from the design and development phase all the way to manufacturing. You will be developing these solutions alongside our clinical KOLs to produce and test the parts and subsystems that will eventually be integrated into the robotic system. Throughout the process, you will also be involved in the verification and validation testing phase such as producing testers, generating test protocols and reports. Your role will require you to work in close tandem with our external partners and suppliers.

Your responsibilities shall include the following:

• Involved in the establishment of the robotic system’s design requirements according to users’ needs.
• Design and develop hardware system architecture and electrical systems based on set requirements.
• Generate schematics and electrical diagrams following respective standards and best practices.
• Source, evaluate and troubleshoot components, PCBAs, wire harnesses and subsystems.
• Assist in developing test protocols and reports to verify various subsystems and the main system.
• Involved in developing testers and test tools for verification tests.
• Support the team with electrical safety and EMC testing.
• Take part in the design control and risk management documentation generation tasks.
• Work with the team to optimize the system’s cost, manufacturability, quality, and reliability.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Electrical, Embedded Systems, Robotic Engineering, or related fields.
• Skilled in PCB design software such as Altium Designer or other similar tools.
• Experience in circuit design with ARM MCUs is essential.
• Hands-on experience with embedded communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, TCP.
• Knowledge of embedded platforms such as MCUs (STM32), DSP, FPGA will be advantageous.
• Adept at utilizing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Hands-on experience with soldering equipment and crimpers preferred.
• Knowledge of C/C++ and Linux will be an advantage.
• Understanding of standards such as IEC 60601-1, 60601-1-2 and 62304 will be a plus.

You will be a key member of the R&D Digital Translation team established under the Singapore Maritime Institute. The R&D Digital Translation team develops and operates digital and cyber products and translates R&D projects to real world implementations for the maritime industry.

You will collaborate with various project managers, solutions architect and infra engineers to deliver leading-edge digital solutions and services to meet the business requirements of the maritime community. Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build and maintain the software development pipeline automation with related toolsets to enable CI/CD

2. Design and implement the infrastructure and operating environment for container-based microservices that will meet the agreed high availability, performance and security requirements

3. Utilise native cloud tools to monitor the health and performance of the production and UAT environments, and automate the alerts as part of the incident reporting framework

4. Work closely with development teams and other internal teams to ensure that solutions are designed in accordance to requirements to facilitate scale/performance, security and operability

5. Work closely with on-site Tenant Facility Management (TFM) team to supervise day-to-day cloud operations which include activities such as regular patching and system configuration

6. Support and ensure that the software releases are aligned with MPA's internal software release and deployment process

7. Facilitate and support troubleshooting or root cause analysis of platform issues or incidents

8. Proactively monitor and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and architecture simplification

9. Participate in project planning and management activities

Requirements

1. Background in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or relevant discipline

2. At least 2 to 3 years of working experience in DevOps automation, containerisation and orchestration

3. Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services and related cloud services (e.g. Azure DevOps, hands-on experience using Azure Administrative portal). Certification(s) in Microsoft Azure (e.g. MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent) and Amazon Web Services will be an advantage.

The Site Engineer (Building) is responsible for assisting on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

The responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
