We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.

Job Description:

• Responsible for handling contracts and progress claims.
• Assist the manager on contractual matters and variation claims ;
• Support the manager in requesting quotations, cost estimation, and preparing cost comparisons.
• Liaise with consultants on contract-related issues.
• Assessment and preparation of sub-contractor's claim ;
• Responsible for the preparation of final accounts ;

Requirements:

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (preferably in Singapore).
• Strong understanding of construction estimating methods, cost control principles, and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of Singapore building regulations and contract forms (a plus).

• Analyse and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and the associated costs, and prepare a detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations.
• Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and management of costs. Provide regular cost reports to keep stakeholders updated on the financial status of the project and promptly address any cost variations.
• Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures. Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and procurement through evaluation of subcontractor and supplier bids and ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards in MEP construction and keep abreast of industry trends, codes and best practices.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial, commercial or data-centre projects.
• Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

• Prepare evaluation and certification of sub-contractors’ progress payments.
• Prepare and follow up on monthly progress claims.
• Prepare costing and submit quotations to clients for Variation Orders (VO) items.
• Liaise with main contractor on payments and VO confirmations.
• Prepare Final Account for completed projects and obtain management’s approval.

• Prepare monthly report of payment collection forecast and estimation of payments to sub-contractors.
• Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

• Assist in the preparation of project submission documents such as - built drawings, operational & maintenance manual, warranties, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Singapore related working experience is compulsory
• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Building Services / M&E Engineering
• With relevant local working experience would be preferred
• Good oral & written communication skills with a positive work attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision
