Regional Marketing Data Analyst

This role sits in the Digital Marketing team and would be reporting to the Data Lead of SEAO region. This role is crucial, in developing data solutions and insights using 1st party consumer data pipeline for eights markets across Southeast Asia & Pacific region, building BI solutions and AI/ML models, in order to drive continuous improvement in business KPIs for Samsung smartphone and consumer electronics categories.

Marketing Insights & Reporting (60%)

• Build dashboards and insight report on Samsung’s Big Data Platform
• Connect different data sources to generate actionable business insights for the marketing team
• Collaborate closely with subsidiary marketing managers and product team to support data analysis needs and proactively provide optimization suggestions

Data Science Modeling (40%)

• Build and improve machine learning models in the field of digital marketing, such as customer purchase propensity, customer retention & loyalty
• Maintain end-to-end machine learning pipeline to deployment data science model in the cloud environment
• Fast prototype of new data science projects using latest AI technologies
• Working with digital marketing deployment team to guide on marketing campaigns execution using data science solutions and rigorously measure business impact of data science projects, through A/B testing and other statistical methods.

Skills Required

• Strong programming skills: Advanced SQL, Python, Command Line
• Hands-on experience on large consumer data: demonstrated past work experience dealing with customer data at scale (in millions rows)
• Cloud technology experience: demonstrated working knowledge in any of the mainstream cloud solution: Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure. Google Cloud experience is preferred. Able to debug and trouble shoot cloud issues independently.
• Business Intelligence Platform experience: demonstrated working experience in any of the mainstream BI platforms: Looker, Power BI, Tableau.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including internal tech, marketing and product teams, external advertising/marketing agencies, to ensure timely delivery of data projects.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3-5 years of working experience in data analytics or data science, preferably in a consumer facing companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Provide L2 and L3 application support across multiple countries having 24/7 availability

Ø Troubleshoot and resolve application issues raised by end user, product team as well as tech partners

Ø Provide functional solution for production issues/queries

Ø Proactive problem analysis and resolution for application issues

Ø Perform routine checks of application logs and backups.

Ø Provide support and feedback to other Application Developers as and when required for recurrent application issues.

Ø Maintain and update technical documentation of applications.

Ø Create Knowledge Articles to assist Level 1 application support.

Ø Review and design applications requests and provide recommendations.

Ø Provide training as and when required to apps users of application functionality as well as feature introduces through development releases

Ø Identify opportunities for system improvement within Applications being supported.

Ø Identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and security.

Ø Conduct continuity of business (COB) and high availability (HA) of application on regular based on country specific requirement/ regulatory requirement

Ø Arrange for special working as and when required

Ø Able to stay up to date with advancing technology trends within the relevant field.

Ø Working with the QA to create automation tests for the user interfaces as well as backend services.

Ø Writing high quality source code and deliver the application within tight deadline follows the Scrum practice.

Ø Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and track progress using JIRA for production fixes .

Ø Produce high quality technical scope documents to accurately represent application design and code for production fixes.

Ø Should able to perform impact analysis and changes for enhancement, performance changes, PRB issues and Common Vulnerability Management (CVM).

Ø Work on Proof of concepts (POCs) in new and emerging technologies along with development team
