Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for Executive / Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer) who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The candidate will be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 10,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a full-time Executive/ Senior Executive, Clinical Research Officer (Biobanking) for the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study. This study is undertaken jointly by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London (www.healthforlife.sg). It aims to profile the health and behaviour of people from the general Singapore population. The scope of the study is segmented into (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, grip strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) investigating biomarkers for chronic diseases. We have just received funding for Phase 2 of the study and are expanding our biobanking team to allow the study to reach out to more people.

The Clinical Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the study, mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Receive and process biological samples for banking purposes; with accuracy and in a timely manner without compromising sample quality.

• Assist in frozen sample retrieval and sorting.

• Perform nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) extraction and quantification.

Nanyang Business School (NBS) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (Post-doc) with Prof. Xin Chang’s research group. This position is supported by a Tier III grant to establish a Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) at NTU. As part of this programme, the Climate Finance Cluster will assess the multifaceted business risks posed by the physical impacts of climate change, narrow the protection gap, and facilitate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for developing procedures to measure and price risks arising from climate change suitable for each company so that climate risk can be managed by companies and hedged by investors, and seeing this work through to publication in major research journals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use computational linguistic tools and machine learning techniques to analyze discussions on climate change in corporate social responsibility reports, conference call transcripts, and the Management Discussion and Analysis section of companies’ annual reports
