Systems Deployment Engineer

About the role
As a Systems Deployment Engineer, you will take a commercial product through installation, deployment, and proof of concepts. You will also drive innovative approaches to operating and supporting infrastructure to achieve results.

In this role, you will maintain and control access to the systems, and troubleshoot technical problems with a mix of infrastructure, software, networking, system administration, and documentation challenges. You will ensure a secure, stable and reliable operations center, while advocating for our customer and operator needs. In addition, you will also work with Operations, Program Management Office, and Engineering teams to help design, deploy, and manage enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Data Engineer - Snowflake to based in Philippines or Singapore, to join our Group Technology Team.

Reporting to the Head of IT Strategy, Architecture & Governance, the Data Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions with Snowflake. Secondarily, this role will involve supporting the integration of ETL processes using Microsoft tools (Azure Data Factory, LogicApps etc.) into the Snowflake ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Primary - Data Warehouse Development and Management:

• Design and manage data warehouse solutions in Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, optimization, and security.

#NEW# Software Engineer Lead (Java, React) - 12 Months Contract

Join our team to automate language translation and localization flows for business, product, and development projects.

Work Arrangement: 8am-8pm ( 8H daily with 1H lunch break Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust back-end applications and services using Java for high-traffic systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, primarily using React.
• Implement and maintain AWS-based solutions to support cloud infrastructure and services.
• Utilize GraphQL to optimize APIs for various applications and data retrieval.
• Design, develop, and maintain databases such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of server-side logic using Go and Python for enhanced functionality.
• Leading and coaching team members

Requirements:

• Proven experience in back-end development with a focus on Java, React, AWS, and GraphQL.
• Strong proficiency in developing and managing databases, particularly MongoDB and ElasticSearch.
• Proficiency in Go and Python for server-side logic and back-end functionalities.
• Expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and the ability to collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration.
• MUST BE 100% HANDS-ON
• Leading and coaching team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 1+ years Leadership experience
• You will need to attend a 2-hour real-time coding test !!!

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
• Experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
