Job Description
1.Within the operations of Shizuoka Bank in Singapore, this role primarily focuses on managing the practices within the realms of business development and customer service, with the main mission to increase the loan balance.
2.Responsibilities include overseeing the front office operations of our Singapore branch, executing tasks with accountability while supervising multiple team members, based on a deep practical knowledge of the related areas mentioned below. This role contributes to the promotion of Shizuoka Bank’s business in Singapore and the Asian region, including Japan, by facilitating practical business development.
-Development of new business opportunities in deposits and loans.
-Sales activities for Shizuoka Bank Group’s key existing clients (companies headquartered in Japan), including direct presentations and negotiations with executive management at the Japan HQ.
-Handling part of the client KYC processes as a first defense.
-Conducting credit analysis, preparing credit proposals, and negotiating with the Japan HQ to execute appropriate lending projects.
3.The candidate is expected to report to the General Manager about the situations and needs of key stakeholders, as well as the status of negotiations with them, at appropriate times, contributing to the stable execution and expansion of Shizuoka Bank’s overseas business.
4.As a team member, provide support in treasury and bond investment areas (selecting investment bonds, dealing, and reporting to HQ).
Job Requirement
1.Over 10 years of corporate sales experience in a financial institution, with mandatory recent experience within the last 5 years.
2.At least 3 years of experience as a manager leading a team of more than five members in corporate sales within a financial institution. Successful candidate is expected to possess extensive experience in direct presentations and negotiations with client executive teams.
3.Several years of experience in corporate lending, including credit analysis (rating methodologies, financial statement analysis), and KYC processes.
4.Experience managing clients across various industries, especially experience in handling clients in the leasing industry is strongly expected.
5.Experience working with clients with annual sales of approx USD 100 million or more.
6.Deep understanding of Japanese financial regulations, laws, guidelines, and information security.
7.Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
