Main Responsibilities

• Perform technical architecture oversight for the IT systems including architecture roadmap planning and implementation.
• Provide guidance to application teams on various systems

What you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to lead the development of our Next Generation Financial Data and Insights Platform.

Responsibilities:

You'll help us build a scalable financial data storage and retrieval platform, and develop low-latency, high-reliability APIs for financial data search and retrieval.

This team is implementing a robust data streaming infrastructure, using Kafka, Spark and related technologies, and you'll be designing and optimising OLAP data storage-based solutions for comprehensive financial reporting.

Job Requirements:

• Honours Degree accredited by the Engineering Council in Naval Architecture - IS A MUST!
• Classification of at least 2:1, although the relevant experience may be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
• 5 years of post-graduate experience, which can be reduced if other relevant experience can be demonstrated.
• A minimum of 5 years working within the Energy Industry, specifically Oil and Gas or Renewables.
