We are seeking a People Manager to guide and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership for our cybersecurity product capabilities development and sustenance.

•Technology Subject Matter Expert who understands security landscape and solution credibly with ability to work with cross-functional team including solution architecting, pre- and post-sales engagements, project management to deliver cybersecurity product solutions.

•Set strategic direction in alignment with business objectives, keeping abreast of industry best practices.

Requirements

1. At least 10 years of software development experience of which at least 5 years are in a technical leadership role in cybersecurity

2. Relevant Industry Certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, PMP or equivalent

3. Technical knowledge in following is a must:

i. Cloud Architecture: Planning and implementing the applications & data to the cloud and ensure organization’s technical and business requirements are met.

ii. Networking Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, with the ability to design and implement complex network infrastructures.

iii. DevOps: Drive the adoption of DevOps practices within the organization, including continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery.

iv. Software Version Control: Implement and manage software version control systems to track changes, facilitate collaboration, and ensure code quality.

4. Previous experience working on government projects specifically in cybersecurity environment and governance, risk management and compliance is an added advantage.

5. Effective communication and presentation skills with ability to transpose complex security concepts into business terms/impacts.

6. Experience with deployment orchestration, automation and security configuration management

7. Ability to work easily with diverse and dynamic teams

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Office at NTU is established under the NTU I&E initiative to drive overall synergy, coordination and interaction among the pillars along the innovation and entrepreneurship value chain at NTU. The Office seeks to accelerate the University’s efforts to translate NTU’s scientific discoveries, innovations and creative work into technological and social entrepreneurship activities that benefit industry and society.

To propel technologies from prototype to market, the I&E Office is looking for a Chief Master Engineer to join the team. The Chief Master Engineer will be the main point of contact for prototyping and minimum viable product (MVP) services in NTU. He/she will spearhead the realisation of minimum viable product (MVP) in NTU to enhance the pipeline of technologies from NTU that successfully move from prototype to validation trials. He/she will establish <The Makerspace>, NTU’s MVP Atelier, as a compelling one-stop hub where NTU facuty, students and researchers get connected to the resources they need for MVP development, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Advise, mentor and coach teams on prototype and MVP (minimum viable product) conceptualisation, development, verification and validation.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support in the design, building, integration and testing of prototypes and MVPs to ensure their intended end-use objectives are met.
• Facilitate pilot trials to test and validate the performance of MVPs.
• Perform analysis of technology and market trends to identify emerging customer needs and applications of high potential.
• Lead the conceptualisation, planning and development of <The Makerspace>, NTU’s MVP Atelier to be established at the new Innovation Port.
• Manage the resources and funds in <The Makerspace> to optimise prototyping and MVP efforts at NTU.
• Serve as NTU’s main point-of-contact for prototype building and MVP services, providing the vital connection to NTU’s diverse facilities and expertise to empower cross-field research, development, testing and iteration, as well as optimisation of NTU’s in-house facilities and resources.
• Facilitate collaboration of NTU makers’ labs and other research labs/centres to foster synergies of resources and expertise.
• Provide a conduit between NTU faculty/student/ researchers and external design, protoyping and engineering firms / industry partners to facilitate provide the resources for the design, build and engineering of new solutions and products.
• Any other ad-hoc initiatives and projects undertaken by the Office.

Requirements

Educational Qualification(s)

• A Master’s degree (or equivalent professional certification) and above in Engineering, Industrial Design or the Sciences.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum 5 years of proven technology/product design/development experience.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.

Knowledge Required

• Proven track record in project / product development / management.
• Some understanding of lean start-up methodologies or entrepreneurship education will be a plus.
• A knowledge of business models, start-up financing and primary market research for customer validation will also be beneficial.

Job Description / Responsibilities

1. Develop and build competencies in process and design engineering for ISCE2

2. As part of ISCE2 management team, contribute to building a mission and values driven organization

3. Lead and deliver Low-carbon Technology Translation Testbed (LCT3) as a national infrastructure for local and international partnerships

• Understand LCT3 objectives, operating philosophy and how LCT3 fits into the wider ecosystem to support Singapore's Net-Zero ambitions.
• Develop a clear scope that the LCT3 initiative can plan and mobilise against and work with agency stakeholders to set KPIs for the long term sustenance of the facility
• Plan and manage budget for LCT3
• Lead multi-disciplinary and multi-organization LCT3 team
• Understand complexities of the low-carbon technology ecosystem in Singapore and play lead role in stakeholder management amongst industry partners, IHLs and government agencies
• Engage, attract and bring in these stakeholders to participate in LCT3
• Work with agency and academic partners to set up the governance, and support the running of LCT3s governance processes
• Work with all program workstreams to regularly review short & long-term plans
• Participates as part of the ISCE2 leadership team to inform and influence the mapping of R&D activities to a translational outcome aligned with Singapore's national goals.
• Ensure regular reporting processes are in place and provide visibility of program status, issues and manage any significant business risks.
• Represent LCT3 at LCER Steering Committee level and relevant boards, including the LCER Technical Committee
• Thought leadership and advocacy in the development of low carbon technologies.
• Represent A*STAR in an advisory role to other agencies and offices (eg S&TPPO, NRF, NCCS)

4. Guide and support process and design engineering efforts in ISCE2 in other areas, e.g. synthetic biology

Requirement

• Doctorate in Chemical or Process Engineering
• Good knowledge of industry and latest technology trends in sustainability
• Over 15 years of proven programme leadership/industry leadership experience in delivering translational engineering projects in the energy/ chemical/pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated ability to work with procurement and different engineering disciplines, and familiarity with FEL (front end loading) engineering from basic design, basic and detailed engineering, mechanical completion to commissioning are pre-requisites. Experience in commissioning of commercial world-scale plants would be an advantage
• Familiarity with Singapore public sector stakeholder management
• Experienced in working with global management and technical stakeholders
• Experienced in strategic operations and project management
• Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to envision long-term goals and develop practical plans to achieve them.
