• Focus: Troubleshooting, Testing and Analyze SSD/HDD Product Issues

The Talent

• Bachelor’s degree in computer/electrical/electronic engineering would be an advantage
• Experience with OS installation, assembly and debug of laptop/desktop systems would be an advantage
• Experience with using Oscilloscope and Bus Analyzer will be beneficial
• Basic working knowledge with Windows and/or Linux OS
• Comfortable working in an ESD-protected lab environment, server room, loud noise environment
• Analytical skills and diagnose to find the root cause and apply corrective actions
• Knowledge of system storage and relationship to platform peripherals would be added advantage
• Knowledge on SSD will be beneficial

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Provide support in validating the new SSD under developmPerform functional testing on SSD through execution of tests (both automated and manual)

• Perform initial failure analysis and work with Validation engineers to resolve test failures
• Modification of functional test scripts to achieve targeted test coverage
• Perform debug and evaluation towards resolution of issues with Firmware engineers.
• Participate in setting up of test environment and servers in preparation for validation.
• Tabulate test results and generate report for continuous firmware health monitoring.

The Job

Day-to-day activities for the development, maintaining, monitoring, controlling and integrating of the overall Project schedule including putting in place the progress measurement system, verification and reporting.

• Direct oversight of both EPC Contractor and Integration Subcontractor on schedule maintenance, updates, and execution
• Able to effectively communicate across multiple disciplines, including both Contractor and Vendor, and at various levels including construction teams and project management
• Proactively identity execution issues and opportunities and highlight to team, being able to effectively assess and communicate impact to overall schedule as well as include key actions to support decision making
• Issue executive weekly dashboards for PMT, including progress, manpower efficiency, productivity, skylines, etc
• Provide timely analysis of current trends including identification of opportunities, challenges and proposed mitigations, and status/effectiveness of mitigations
• Review Contractor weekly / monthly reports for accuracy (including progress measurement and resources) and feedback corrections
• Strong support to Contractor’s and Subcontractor’s Planning team to develop basis of schedules, methodologies, and benchmarks; work with contractors to address schedule and execution plan quality issues
• In addition, to strong planning expertise, candidate must also demonstrate an aptitude in execution strategy for how topsides modules are integrated in order to achieve better schedule logic, identify execution opportunities, and drive better overall performance and progress of the Contractor

As a Senior Desktop Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing and maintaining the desktop computing environment within the organization.
