Key Responsibilities:

The Regional Data Center Solution Architect is a newly created role responsible to lead a dynamic team of plan and spec professionals across the South Asia Pacific (SAP) region. This role involves working closely with consulting professionals, data center owners, and colocation providers to deliver comprehensive data center solutions. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with both a small team and a broader cross-functional team, including engineering and Centers of Excellence (CoE) teams, to provide Carrier solutions encompassing HVAC equipment, controls, and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data center infrastructure landscape, and relevant solutions and offerings, and be able to connect with the regional teams and a diverse clientele base.

Lead and manage a team of plan and spec professionals, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of solutions across the South Asia Pacific region.

Oversee and coordinate planning and specification efforts throughout the region.

Collaborate with consulting professionals, data center owners, and colocation providers to develop tailored solutions.

Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering and CoE, to integrate Carrier solutions into data center designs.

Ensure solutions comply with data center architecture, codes, and standards.

Utilize a strong understanding of HVAC equipment, controls, and DCIM software to advise and influence design decisions.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with consulting professionals and industry stakeholders.

Stay abreast with the latest technology developments and translate them into product requirements.

Requirements

10 to 15 years of experience in data center solutions and architecture, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.

Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively across various regions.

Strong relationships with consulting professionals in the data center industry.

Direct experience with or understanding of HVAC systems is an added advantage.

Proficient in working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate the team.

Strong strategic thinking ability to develop and implement comprehensive solutions.

Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Pre-sales and post sales activities in alignment with the Product Strategy for their respective countries in APAC region. Follow through on projects including planning and management

2. Constantly identifying, develop and explore new business opportunities with the customer to address the fast-emerging market need.

3. Responsible for tender/RFQ/RFP and provide support throughout project lifecycle

4. Coordinate closely with both internal and external stakeholders from project planning to deployment stage by ensuring timeline are met.

5. Responsible for gathering technical requirement and developing cost effective design solution for customers

6. Prepare and report regular updates to track key projects

7. Actively involved in engaging industry stakeholders in power solution sector to identify the customer needs and propose solution

8. Perform study and provide insight on competitor and market landscape analysis.

9. State product performance and characteristics to customers from a technical perspective

10. Be familiar with the technical route, technical standards, technical parameters and technical specifications of products

11. Be familiar with product related hardware, software, interconnection, app and other principles and logic

12. To respond to customer calls to troubleshoot technical problems of equipment, on-site inspection and attend emergency repair, to achieve customers’ satisfaction in turnaround time and minimize downtime

Requirements:

· Higher Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering & or other relevant Engineering qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the related industry; junior candidate will be considered as well

· Experienced in handling power devices / power electronics / communication modules / electrical wirings

· Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail

· Candidate with sales experience will be an advantage.

· Ability to present ideas in a clean & user-friendly way

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading project design teams for new build and conversions.
• Required to do Lines Plan, Hull Fairing, Naval Architectural Calculations, Stability Calculations, Structural design and drawings for Classification Society approvals.
• Interact with Clients, Classification and Statutory bodies and Vendors in the process of design.

Desired Profile

• The candidate should be a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology
• Preferably with min.5 years experience in Design office / Shipyard.
• The candidate should be conversant with Ship Classification Rules and IMO Rules.
• Skills in ACAD, Naval Architecture Calculation Software is a must

Job Description & Requirements

Task Management:

• Preliminary vessel concept work for tendering
• Prepare 2D & 3D drawings/models for construction
• Engineering system calculations to various classification society rules
• Preparation & review of production drawings for construction
• Follow approved company processes as defined in the Strategic Marine Business Management System
• Assist in the development of design office standards / procedures
• Able to take on project management tasks
• Ensure OHSE policies & guidelines are carried out

People Management:

• Provide technical and professional support to junior staff

Interpersonal Management:

• Liaise with Project Managers and Designers
• Liaise with class and flag societies
• Liaise with customers to meet contracted requirements
• Liaise with external design organisations
• Liaise with production departments to provide technical support

• Provide regular communications to the Design Manager
• Attend Design & Project meetings and conference calls
• Provide info on work accomplished for B.O.D. reports on monthly basis to the Design Manager
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of drawings, calculations & other project documents in the design server
• Maintain an accurate project design register
• Provide weekly timesheets to Accounts and Design Manager

The Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) aims to develop, inspire and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences and the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore, and it will transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond.

As part of this programme, Research Cluster 4: Novel engineering solutions for climate impacts, will explore engineering solutions to adapt to sea-level rise and climate-constrained water resources. The Project Officer will be based in School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and will be expected to work effectively for advancing the engineering solutions to mitigate the climate change impact which focus on new design concepts for seawalls and coastal defence systems. The position is expected to perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, to assist the management work of the project daily operation to facilitate the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on laboratory experiments to test the performance of flexible seawall in flume test.
• Keep track of the latest related research developments
• Writing project progress reports
• Assist in the daily project operation management

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor in civil engineering, Coastal Engineering or related discipline
• Expertise in laboratory soil mechanics testing
• Knowledge in ground improvement, coastal erosion and management, hydrodynamics
• Publication track record is an advantage
• Proficiency in oral and written English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
