Descriptions

• Plan and supervise all maintenance services, schedules and improvement works. Oversee and lead the team of managers, engineers, technical officers, supervisors and technicians in facilities management for the premises and buildings. To establish good working relationships with the clients and to develop trust and confidence in our services.
• Ensure the team and external contractors/vendors comply with ISO standards and regulations.
• Coordinate and direct all administration of M&E works by liaising closely with consultants and client.
• Monitor building’s system breakdown, defects and shutdowns. Attend to all cases promptly , to rectify them with minimal inconvenience or disruption caused.
• Conduct and inspect to ensure the property is well maintained. Responsible for the delivery and performance of IFM.
• Prepare monthly reports for the management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of Singapore experience in related Facility Management or equivalent.
• Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management /Engineering, with focus on business, technical (Engineering/ M&E)or management areas. Prior Supervisory or Managerial experience will be required.
• Strong building or M&E knowledge with hands-on experience will be preferred.
• Exposure to Government bodies, Commercial and Institutions will be advantage
• Candidates who have more years of relevant facilities maintenance experience will be considered for senior position.

Job scope

• Preparation and submission of Mechanical tenders, including reviewing technical specifications, cost estimates and project timelines.
• Taking charge on Mechanical QS related matters and responsible from tender to pre-contract and post contract administration duties.
• Prepare tender clarifications, liaise with consultant, attend site visit and tender briefings/meetings.
• Responsible for interpretation of specifications, compliances, review of tender drawings for any discrepancies and any other relevant document.
• Conduct detailed technical evaluations of tender documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with tender submissions and develop mitigation strategies.
• Plan and execute with tender team to achieve KPI.
• Suggest Value Engineering solution for MEP works, if required, in the tender.
• Assist in the presentation slide, technical write up for tender submission/interview and attendance of tender interview.
• Involve in project write up such as understanding scope of work, manpower histogram, programs and project schedule using Microsoft Project software.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the decision-making process during tender evaluations.

Position Overview:
The Technical Assistant is directly accountable to the Fleet Manager, providing support in overseeing and managing the technical aspects of fleet operations. Responsibilities include assisting with vessel maintenance, ensuring compliance, handling technical documentation, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate smooth operations. Additionally, the role encompasses administrative duties such as arranging travel and managing related tasks for the Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support:Assist in the preparation and review of maintenance records and technical reports.
  Support the Fleet Manager in organizing and overseeing maintenance schedules and repair activities.
  Track and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
• Documentation and Compliance:Maintain and update technical records, including manuals, compliance certificates, and safety documentation.
  Ensure fleet operations adhere to maritime regulations and industry standards.
  Prepare and manage documents for audits, inspections, and regulatory processes.
• Communication and Coordination:Serve as a point of contact between ship management, crew, and shore-based technical teams.
  Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for parts procurement and service needs as required.
  Attend technical meetings, providing organizational and logistical support.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of shipboard systems and technical operations.
  Proficiency in handling technical documentation and data analysis.
  Effective communication and coordination skills.
  Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
• Certifications: Relevant maritime certifications or qualifications are desirable.

Working Conditions:

• Environment: Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to ships or shipyards.
• Hours: Full-time role, with the possibility of irregular hours based on operational demands.
