Role

The successful candidate will be part of the Global Public Affairs team, and will support the team’s efforts in managing global public policy risks for SHEIN, including implementing strategies / plans to enhance SHEIN’s credibility and corporate reputation in the following domain areas relevant to the company’s business: ESG, tech and data, and trade and investment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis and assessment of key public policies across SHEIN’s global markets, and the development of recommendations to internal teams on regulatory and operational implications. He/she will also support the development of strategic plans to help SHEIN manage global policy risks and enhance its corporate reputation. In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams, including SHEIN’s global and market-based Government Relations, Public Relations, Sustainability and business/operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Track, monitor and provide assessment of ESG, tech and data, and trade and investment policy issues and their implications to SHEIN’s business and operations
• Support the development of recommendations to senior management and relevant internal teams on strategies to manage public policy risks and enhance SHEIN’s corporate reputation
• Support the development of strategic partnerships with key global stakeholders (e.g. non-governmental and international organisations, industry associations, government officials and regulators, industry and business organisations), for instance public-private partnerships, strategic investment, business development, or social impact projects

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics or related field
• At least 5 years of working experience in government relations or public policy relevant to ESG in either the public or private sector

Role

You should be an experienced, broadly capable project and communications manager or director with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a PR agency or in-house, able to handle a wide range of assignments, projects and/or clients with a high degree of success and independence. THE ROLE

Netflix seeks a seasoned and intellectually-curious music business affairs executive to join our team based in Singapore. This role will provide music business affairs support for our Content, Marketing, and PR teams covering Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and Chinese-language projects. This position will be based in our Singapore office, with periodic international travel.

A substantial part of the role will be overseeing, managing, and scaling the music clearance workflow for film and series content and for marketing and PR campaigns, from project conceptualization to launch. The role includes clearing music tracks with multiple rights holders, from quote, through negotiation, to signature–and, if clearance is not feasible, suggesting alternative tracks. In addition, the role will advise on a wide range of music matters, including CMO requirements, while keeping in mind the strategic goals of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

This person must have music supervision or music clearance experience. They must have in-depth knowledge of music copyright, and experience structuring, negotiating, and drafting master use and synchronization license agreements; library license agreements; composer, songwriter, and performer agreements; music director and music producer agreements; record label and music publishing waivers; and soundtrack album agreements. They must have strong contacts in the Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and/or Chinese-language music industry, including with record labels, publishers, libraries, production agencies, artists, songwriters, and managers.

Experience in the film or series industry and knowledge of the film/series production and distribution process (e.g., development to post, cue sheets, and marketing) is highly preferred.
