Job Description:

• Material planning: performing statistical analysis based on past consumption, lead time, value of material, EUC requirements and provide recommendation to support operations.
• Periodic review of inventory level to trigger replenishment up to level to support operations materials requirements based on provisioning model in considerations of Lead time, Consumption, EUC Requirements, Value of Material, MOQ, EOQ.
• Establish monthly engagement with respective stakeholders to review and rundown legacy stock and stock obsolesce.

To ensure the DC and equipment are in functioning and operational condition, report if there is equipment fault.

- To assist to perform site preparations and liaise with the relevant vendors on tasks such as IT rack mount plan, structure network cabling system, power supply and electrical wiring, air-conditioning, UPS and etc when required.

- To plan, coordinate and execute any shutdown and power up machines (according to operation manual and SOP) when required by the Customer, to facilitate the activities related to electricity, power maintenance and enhancements. The service shall include polling the possible affected parties, obtaining the approval from the Customer’s Representative and sending out the broadcast messages.

- To ensure that all trouble-shooting, upgrade, maintenance work and any other activities that affect data centre availability must be carried out after operating hours and/or over the weekend at no additional cost to the Customer. All urgent faulty parts replacement of the equipment shall seek approval from the Customer’s Representative. The list of warranty and/or maintenance contract and documentation is covered under Server Management Services.

- To ensure all technical and operational issues, that will affect the daily operations of data centre, be resolved within the stipulated Service Levels.

- To advise and propose improvements to the current processes or procedures for better efficiency and to improve the security of the data centre. However, such proposals shall be subjected to the review and approval of the Customer.

- To monitor the environmental equipment in the Data Centre to ensure that they are within acceptable operating level and take corrective actions to rectify any defects affecting the following:

o Main and Backup Incoming Power Supply

o Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

o Cooling System (Air-conditioning) and Leakage Detection

o Temperature and Humidity

o Rack Space

o Network Data/ Telecom Cabling

o Fire Protection and Fire Alarm System Status

o CCTV and Motion Detectors

o Cleanliness and Tidiness

o Equipment Movements and Storage Management

o Secure Disposal of Media and Documentation

- To take pre-emptive measures to prevent any outage or single point of failure in the Data Centre due to environmental factors. This shall include monitoring of environmental equipment and follow-up with the Customer’s sub-contractors or building management to ensure that defects are identified and corrected.

- To ensure that all equipment in the Data Centre is serviced in accordance with the equipment servicing schedule.

- To provide 1st level onsite problem identification, problem reporting and vendor support after operating hours at no additional cost to the Customer in the event that any environment element fault alert is triggered after the operating hours.

- To liaise with the Customer’s Building Management Unit (BMU) at the Customer’s sub-contractors for the maintenance and servicing of the equipment in the Data Centre:

o Power Supply

o UPS

o Cooling System (Air conditioning) and Leakage Detector

o Fire Protection System

o CCTV and Motion Detectors

- To liaise and coordinate with the Customer’s appointed third-party vendors for the servicing of computer equipment hardware.

- To document and track all equipment in the Data Centre. The format of documentation shall be approved by the Customer.

- To establish capacity plans by analyzing current Data Centre resources based on current load and information given by the Customer on future growth requirement.

- To carry out annual capacity planning for the Data Centre at dates mutually agreed by the Customer, so as to project the requirements of UPS, power points, network, rack space and other Data Centre peripherals resources needed.

- The capacity plan report shall be submitted to the Customer within TWO (2) weeks upon the completion of planning.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will be a Senior Technical Lead within the TISC (Technical, Innovation & Supply Chain) architecture team supporting the CPS (Commercial Product Supply) and NAOU (North America Operating Unit) organizations through ensuring all technology delivered meets standards to drive supply chain transformation initiatives. This role is critical to enabling digital transformation through supply chain transformation and ‘plant of the future’ initiatives.

The role focuses on translating business needs into technical systems solutions, within a structured agile framework. This will entail defining systems in relation to enterprise infrastructure, executing activities related to business, IT and partnering with internal and external technical teams in the delivery of solutions. The candidate will have a key role in identifying and recommending products and features, evolving the organization's technical infrastructure as well as leading the implementation of new procedures and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or significant practical experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience preferably in manufacturing IT or process Industry.
• Must have proven experience working with IT, OT and supply chain architectures including designing, developing, deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
• Must have a strong practical knowledge of data management, data infrastructure, data Interfacing through Azure based deployments with a focus on maintenance and improvement.
• Should be proficient in supply chain end to end processes, using ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Advantageous additional desirable skills would include hands on experience at scale with workload management (Kubernetes). Some practical exposure to scripting (Python) and object orientated coding is also desirable.
