Role Overview:

As the Associate Director for Supply Chain Technology, you will serve as a key deputy to the Director of Technology and Innovation, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for our supply chain technology initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of WMS, TMS, and other critical systems, and driving continuous improvement to optimize performance and efficiency. In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross- functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions that support the digital transformation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams within the Department to implement and maintain supply chain technology solutions, including WMS, TMS and other relevant systems and guiding them towards the organization’s target operating model for connected technologies.
• Mentor and manage team members, ensuring that they are aligned with strategic objectives and equipped to support an integrated supply chain technology ecosystem.
• Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology roadmap for all supply chain technology systems, identifying and prioritizing initiatives to meet business needs.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

Operational Excellence and Governance

• Serve as a strategic partner to operations leaders, establishing a robust governance framework for change requests and aligning them with the unified supply chain technology strategy.
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure that change requests are managed effectively within the unified system, supporting alignment across WMS, TMS, and related applications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.

Connected Technology Oversight

• Lead efforts to enhance connectivity across all supply chain technologies, facilitating integration between WMS, TMS, and other critical systems.
• Partner with development teams to drive enhancements and application changes, ensuring that technology solutions evolve in line with operational needs and strategic goals.
• Guide initiatives that improve interoperability between systems, leveraging connected technology to streamline workflows across the supply chain.

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for all supply chain technology systems, representing the product function in executive and cross-functional meetings.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, training, and alignment for new system capabilities, driving consistent adoption and effective use across the organization.

Professional Experience:

• 9+ years of experience in product management or leadership roles in related supply chain technologies, with demonstrated success in managing complex system implementations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, with experience developing optimized queries and using analytics to inform product decisions.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Transport Management and warehouse management platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and various key features, solutions to derive key business value is highly preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Product Management or Supply Chain Management is a plus.

Job Description:

• Lead SCM process by providing market insight and outlook, business update and opportunity optimization.
• Day-to-day customer service activities and supply chain management - Responsible for managing daily customer service operations and manage entire supply chain process from procurement to distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Demand Planning - Work closely with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accurately.
• Production Planning - Collaborate with Operations team to develop production schedules and optimize the production planning that align with demand forecasts.
• Inventory Management - Lead the team to implement robust inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels. Monitor and analyze inventory turnover, taking proactive measures to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or any Engineering filed.
• At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the SCM or related field is required for this position.
• Preferably with related experience in Chemical.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Hands on experience in using Microsoft Navision system and strong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel would be an advantage.
• Experienced in ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supply chain manager (SCM) reports to the country director, Singapore Country Director(CD).
• Supply chain manager is primarily responsible for four areas in supply chain such as Procurement (sourcing & purchasing), Shipping (import/export), Warehouse and Logistics Management.
• Determine and agree key supply chain KPI's & objectives for His sub-departments and evaluate their progress & achievements through a department meeting and yearly appraisal process.
• Securing that procurement, shipping as well as warehouse and logistics management is performed in accordance with VIKING guidelines and industry best practices.
• Ensure that the sourcing, procurement, warehouse, and logistic functions provides the necessary support to other departments (i.e. Order Fulfilment for Sales & Service) to ensure a smooth daily operation and to achieve Sales & Service target.
• Secure that daily operations are handled correctly in SAP ERP system.
• Aid that the inter-departmental corporation is continuously being improved with the aim to have the highest customer satisfaction (Sales & Service) in the VIKING network.
• Continuously develop best practices in the department and thrive to simplify workflows with the aim to minimize duplication of works and to achieve great satisfaction for employees as well as for internal and external customers.

KEY FUNCTIONS & TASKS

• To organize and ensure daily effective operation in all aspects of Procurement (sourcing & purchasing), Shipping (import/export), Warehouse and Logistics management
• Implement correct use of SAP in the departments under your responsibility as well as aid training of SAP for other departments upon request, this includes aiding the operation in Malaysia.
• Follow all statutory and regulatory requirements to avoid mishandling of goods and endangering the company business. This is especially important towards our licenses and authorizations.
• Plan and execute Waste Disposal for Dangerous and Control Goods on quarterly basis.
• Optimize work efficiency in the departments under your control to minimize over time and to achieve right work balance for employees.
• Conduct Weekly SCM Meeting addressing Team's and Operational needs.
• Reporting news and issues related to the department or in other ways related to Vikings business to the CD.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (COMPETENCE)

Requirements

- Minim Bachelor's degree or above in logistics, supply chain management, electronic information engineering, or related fields preferred.

- At least 8 years of supply chain management experience, must including 3 years in the lubricant or chemical industry.

- Familiar with lubricant processing equipment and machinery use and maintenance. Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and proficiency in production management systems like ERP or SAP.

-Ability to production, and allocation processes; strong logic and planning capabilities; high proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and summation; strong decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure.

- Excellent organizational coordination skills, good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.More than 3 years of experience in managing a team of 15+ people preferred.

- Understanding of government regulations related to HSE management and awareness of HSE risks in factories, with emergency response capabilities.

- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, needs communicating with Chinese-speaking suppliers and customers.
