Our client is from a manufacturing industry. Looking for experience Supply Chain / Procurement Manager to join their team.

Requirement:

• Diploma and/or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years working experience and exposure in both Mechanical and Electrical customized parts and components sourcing

Job Scope:

Procurement

• Source and identify suppliers for direct / indirect materials / services to expand supplier base and for new project / production needs
• Obtain quotes from newly source suppliers to achieve competitive costing and continuous cost reduction
• Price negotiation with supplier to ensure competency in cost for materials and services
• To conduct supplier qualification audit and supplier performance review on a regular basis
• Maintain standard operation procedures applicable to the Procurement department to ensure work flow process are consistence

Purchasing

• Develop Purchasing Strategy for different categories of supplies to ensure on time order fulfillment with minimum inventory for direct purchases
• Ensure all indirect purchases needs of company is being fulfilled based on users’ needs
• Review purchasing strategy periodically with Management to propose change when market trend changes
• Provide periodic alert and updates to customer (internal / external) to ensure any issues / delays are promptly highlighted and necessary actions are taken
• Work with principals / suppliers to ensure goods are delivered on time to fulfill customers / company’s needs

Warehousing

• Manage warehouse team to ensure timely receiving / issuance of raw materials
• Manage warehouse team to achieve order fulfillment requirement specific to all customer shipments
• Ensure overall inventory integrity of all goods in warehouse

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of production within the distribution area. This includes assembly, test, loading of customer-specific software, packaging, inventory control, shipping, and any other tasks required to meet production targets.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed during the entire order building process

• Load customer-specific software on vision systems, barcode readers and industrial PCs, etc.

• Use production orders to select the correct material and quantities to build customer kits and validate those kits against the appropriate production orders

• Place material into the correct stocking location / pull material from the correct location

• Use delivery pick lists to accurately pick sales order material and quantities for processing

• Ad hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High energy, self-motivated individual capable of performing order picking, system configuration, assembly, inspection, and kitting functions on customer orders

• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to always maintain an elevated level of housekeeping and inventory accuracy

• Available to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

• Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 pounds) at times.

Procurement Executive

Location: Tuas (near to Gul Circle MRT)

Salary: $2,500 - $4,500

Working days: Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm, Sat 9am to 1pm (alt Saturday after probation)

Job Description:

• Manage procurement activities for Technical/Provisional ship supply items
• Source for suppliers based on competitive cost, quality, delivery performance
• Evaluate vendors & compare quality
• Consolidates marketing, sales and logistical information
• Negotiates contract terms & conditions
• Maintain and build relations with new and existing suppliers
• Ensures timely delivery of goods
• Assist in audits on procurement related matters
• Any other adhoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum O level
• Working experience in ship supply industry is preferred.
• Technical ship product knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of MTS (Marine Transportation System) is an advantage.
