The primary focus of this position is the support the maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This role analyses, monitors, and reports on the current positions in global markets. In addition, this role will help with the selection of new opportunities. In coordination with the Head of Markets - Asia and Head of Asia (CIO), the successful candidate will run and monitor investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead systematic research and analysis of public markets and industry trends, primarily in Asia ex-Japan
• Conduct due diligence on portfolio companies or candidates, and support idea generation through constant interactions with companies and their stakeholders
• Update on business trends, competition and new regulatory policy impacting the covered geography / sector
• Contribute to discussions of sectors and companies covered by other team members, and promote an open and honest culture of challenging and being challenged
• Prepare presentations and memos to the investment committee in relation to potential and existing investments, and macro / capital markets themes
• Assist in preparing reports, ad hoc / strategic reviews other such related tasks
• Assist in portfolio management duties including monitoring, reporting, and evaluating performance of executed transactions
• Network with advisors in the region and sell-side analysts
• Become a subject matter specialist in China macro over time

The Successful Applicant

• Excellent academic qualifications with at least eight years in equity research and at least five of those in a top buy-side firm
• CFA would be preferred though not a must
• Experience in covering Hong Kong and China equities, including A shares is a must
• Proficiency in business mandarin is an absolute must, as the role requires attending corporate meetings with Hong Kong and China listed entities, regular interactions with stakeholders including sell side and independent research providers and reviewing annual reports and other relevant documents.
• Expertise in equity research across internet, consumer or financials would be ideal
• Ability to build, update, and maintain complex financial models representing the current and future financial state of the companies being analysed
• Detail oriented, possess strong analytical and quantitative skillset
• Proficient with advanced computer software such as spreadsheets and database programs
• Besides being a good team-player, candidates should also demonstrate maturity, integrity and possess the ability to interact and network with investors
• Openness to frequent travel across Europe & Asia

Our Customer is a Leading bank in Australia that provides a front to back integrated platform for straight through processing and risk management.
This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence under the program's variety milestones. These streams include new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs and regulatory compliances.
We will have key roles in projects such as managing the scope, design and delivering requirements from front to back office with Excelian.

We are looking for talented and ambitious people. The roles are in the respective Functional, Test Management, Development, Test Support, Environment Management and Release teams. These units will collectively undertake scoping, design, building, testing and implementation phases to deliver the variety program milestones.

Looking for an experienced technical business analyst for the core Treasury IT team to delivery projects for the bank's treasury division for the business with focus on Commodities, FX, MM products.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Technical Business Analyst role looks after the business engagement, functional requirements, solution design, and some system configuration for delivery of the migration projects.
• The role will require engagement with relevant business stakeholders for the initiatives in the approved scope and then work closely with the delivery team as well as relevant Technology partners, to ensure timeliness and quality of the delivery.
• The role is hence expected to have excellent Business Analysis abilities, as well as the ability to project manage small to medium initiatives. This will involve leading implementation of regional roll outs in parallel with other sub-streams.
• The role requires engagement with risk, compliance and assurance teams and ensure that special consideration is given to local compliance requirements.
• The role would include an element of solution design and technical configuration of the Murex 3.1 platform in cooperation with relevant technical teams. Hands-on work on the application would be required.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of relevant Murex (and/or other Primary Trading System) Front Office experience
• Good/Expert knowledge of at least Commodities and/or FXMM (Risk and Pricing) implementation on Murex.
• Experienced in dealing with Risk, Product Control or Front Office stakeholders in Markets or Treasury divisions
• Good hands-on knowledge of FO configuration: instruments, generators, curves, market data , market conventions, etc
• Good understanding of FO modules: Simulation screens, Simulation Viewer, eTradepad, P&L notepad, market operations, etc
• Good knowledge of how to analyze P&L and sensitivity issues within Murex
• Knowledge of organization setup and User Groups / Access Rights

1. Conduct complete category analysis and deep dive on their performance by analysing category data to derive consumer trends , opportunistic upsides and areas for continous improvement.

2. Based on data driven conclusions provide insights and recommend actions to take.

3. Evaluate promotion data results and its effectiveness to derive decisions to support better future promotion activitis

4.Present sales data and trends and insights in weekly sales meetings to stakeholders.

5. Expert users in MS Xcel , MS office and other Generative AI tools in the marketplace for effective communication of sales data.

THE ROLE

• Produce daily P&L reports and consolidate all trade book reports, ensuring its precision, consistency and integrity
• Resolve queries from traders or other departments relating to P&L impacting topics
• Raise queries to traders when proposed booking changes or business practices are unclear
• Bring awareness and understanding to the impacts of deal changes or bookings to different departments, considering how it will impact them
• Validate physical commodity and derivative deal entries ensure an accurate valuation within our ETRM
• Ownership of maintaining price curves and associated calendars
• Understand the different funding requirements for futures and forwards and how it impacts various stakeholders
• Maintain relationship with clearing brokers and clearing banks
• Monitor trading activity; highlight and report unusual activity.
• Support Market and Credit risk monitoring
• Ability to calculate the impacts of IR and FX on P&L, working with the Treasury team to ensure the impacts are expected and hedges are correct or executed when required
• Support Finance in month-end financial closing processes explaining any provision requirements for the business
• Summary reporting (e.g., weekly, monthly) on key analytics
• Synergize with other teams based in London to add value to each other’s tasks as well as gaining a greater insight for colleagues based in Singapore
• Propose and implement innovative, more accurate and more efficient processes and calculation methods
• Ownership of the Contract and confirmation management for financial trades

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/ Finance or quantitative focused
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within an energy or commodity trading environment
• Good understanding and experience in data analytics and visualization tools – e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and/or Python
• Knowledge in GARP ERP or GARP SCR will be an added advantage.
• Able to support the team based on UK calendar on rotational basis
• Confident and clear communication style – ability to deliver ideas, ask for explanation when unsure and challenge others when best compliant practice is not applied
• Able to work logically, quickly, and accurately while handling multiple tasks

General Description of the Role

The Finance analyst, will have the responsibility for ensuring financial reporting and anaylitics integrity for the Singapore legal entity, including Asia Partnership market, Singapore In Market Company, Regional HQ fixed costs. This also includes pricing maintenance in line with strategy through constructive analysis and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting and analysis for both P&L and Cash Flow.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Commercial FP&A supporting corporate deliverables (RB/Fcst/SBP/Bud for P&L):

• Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of templates/models for the budgeting and forecasting.
• Analysing and providing business insights into the performance of the Singapore In Market Company and the Asia Partnershop markets.
• Ensure RB/Fcst/SBP/Bud submitted on time and accuracy in group reporting systems.
• Pricing maintenance includes transfer price request between legal entities, liasing with Group Tax finance and finance colleagues in other legal entities.
• Creation of regular reports for key stakeholders for use in the monitoring of Singapore legal entity P&L.
• Provide analytics to track the key drivers of performance by customer and brand activities to ensure key message are translated in reporting/forecasting decks.
• Full ownership of deferred discount analysis and reconciliation process including presentation to sales team and senior management.
• Engaging actively with Marketing Director to support with A&P management through the year

Accounting Finance securing Singapore Legal Entity financial integrity for P&L and Cash Flow:

• Working with GBS Accenture team to manage timely month-end group reporting and submissions.
• Preparation and review of P&L and overheads reports as well as detailed variance analysis.
• Support in providing documentation for all areas of accounting and statutory reporting.
• Preparation and distribution of monthly management pack.
• Support Finance director in providing:Review weekly excise and N30 with supply chain for timely submissions to ATO/ACS.
  Review and submission of monthly BAS (GST, PAYG, WET, FBT instalment).
  Reconciliation and reviewing FBT submission in conjunctions with KPMG.
  Quarterly tax calculation and year-end tax preparation with KPMG.
  Treasury management.
  Annual insurance renewal coordination
  

Reporting relationship

The Finance Analyst reports to the Singapore Finance Director and works closely in the capacity of a Business Partner with the commercial team and other key stake holders.

Experience Required, skills & Attributes

• Minimum 3 years’ experience, ideally working in an Audit Firm
• Degree in Commerce/Accounting/CPA
• Experience in Liquor industry preferred, FMCG essential
