Job Title: IT System Administrator APAC

Summary:

The IT System Administrator with Cloud Experience will manage and support a hybrid IT infrastructure, focusing on both traditional on-premises systems and cloud environments. This role includes maintaining network and server infrastructure, providing global desktop support, and overseeing cloud-based services, primarily within Microsoft Azure and M365 environments. The position will be based in Singapore supporting CECO offices in China and Asia. Successful candidates will be able to display proficiency in both English and Chinese, spoken and written.

Key Responsibilities:

• Helpdesk & Desktop Support: Provide end-user support globally, with a focus on CECO Asia-Pacific offices, including PC configuration, peripheral management, and VOIP support.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Work as part of a team that administers and maintains Microsoft Azure and M365 environments, including cloud networking (e.g., Azure VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
• Server & Network Administration: Oversee the administration of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and network services such as DNS, FTP, and web servers.
• Vendor & Project Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants for system upgrades, new installations, and troubleshooting.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements across cloud and on-premises systems.
• Performance Tuning: Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues related to network availability, utilization, and latency.
• Cross-Platform Expertise: Integrate cloud services with existing infrastructure, endpoint management, and virtual desktop environments.
• Bilingual Support: Communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to provide seamless support across regions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain asset tracking, technical documentation, and respond to audit requests as required.
• Travel: May require up to 20% travel across regions for system setup and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing hybrid IT environments (on-premises + cloud).
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, and Active Directory.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (Azure, M365), PowerShell scripting, and cloud networking.
• Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
• Knowledge of network security and compliance standards.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), with strong communication skills for support in both languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently in a global, fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT system administration, including cloud infrastructure management.
• Preferred Certifications: AZ-104 Azure Administrator, M365, or relevant cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

• To provide system administration of company Warehouse Management System, servers management on various platform such as IBM AIX Servers, Linux, Windows & Virturalisation infrastructure (VMware, Vcenter etc) for Lenovo & HP Servers
• Knowledge of High Availability System such as IBM PowerHA, Windows Clustering as well as Veeam Backup & Replication software.
• Review and improve system performance and capacity trends.
• Responsible for sizing and work out specification for systems tech refresh, systems installation, Setup and Configuration.
• Develop procedures for all system monitoring and troubleshooting, Disaster Recovery and system backup solutions.
• To support company network equipment (LAN & WAN) such as Routers, Network Switches, Firewall, Wifi Controllers, Access Points for various warehouses & distribution centers.
• Responsible for system management tools, cybersecurity policy, IT compliance & hardening and IT audit supports.
• Handle new project management of system infrastructure projects.
• Provide 24/7 support for Server Rooms, Production Servers and Network Supports for our Operations

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any equivalent with at least 1 years IT working experiences.
• Applicants who have good academic result with Diploma qualification relevant in Computer Science with at least 5 years IT working experiences.
• Good Hands-on knowledge in SysAdmin (AIX, Linux, Redhat, Window VMWare, vCenter, Veeam softwares).
• Knowledge and experience in common networking protocols and services like MS Azure, DHCP, DNS, FTP/FTPS, File & Print, LAN, WAN, Wifi etc
• Knowledge in Virtualization Technology (VMWare, vSphere, Vcenter, Azure/AWS), HA Clustering, Disaster Recovery & Backup Solutions.
• Experience in server hardware and IT Infrastructure and network equipment (Setup, Install, Configure, Troubleshooting and Monitoring)
• Certifications in above knowledges will be an added advantage
• Good analytical problem-solving skills with innovative approach in providing solutions.
• Competent at documenting standard/application operating procedures, process, and work instructions.
• Good communication skills and a team player.

• Provide support to create technology roadmap to meet program objectives, work closely with Head Office, regional business sponsors and IT stakeholders

• Provide support to set up IT workstream for Wholesale Banking, Private Wealth Banking products and services such as Loan, Deposits, Treasury, Securities Custody and Execution

• Support program feasibility study, pros & cons of solutioning options to meet the program timelines and seek consensus from stakeholders.

• Liaise on defining of business & system requirement plan such as scope definition, schedule, resource allocation, budgeting, implementation plan and quality assurance processes

• Review the application architecture and infrastructure designs

• Work with wider stakeholders to explore technical solutions to achieve business objectives and requirements.

• Provide support to drive the implementation of regional technology programs to meet strategic or tactical objectives, always looking for standardization opportunities. Develop understanding of various banking systems such as at Japan Head Office, regional and country local systems to provide solutions for specific project and lead such initiatives.

• Provide support to drive the implementation of regional technology programs to meet strategic or tactical objectives and focusing on standardization opportunities.

• Support the establishing and implementing of project management practices, templates, policies, tools to expand and mature the Program and Project Management capabilities of the IT APAC organization.

• Participate in key regional meetings and provide updates and align for programs and projects.

• Support program risk assessment to mitigate potential issues and track status and progress.
