• Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly reports in line with accounting policies and regulations
• Generate monthly cashflow reports and projections, monitor receivables and payables
• Manage corporate and tax compliances in collaboration with external service providers
• Handle governmental statistical reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare quarterly GST filing, tax computation, and deferred tax
• Review journals and monthly schedules prepared by GL share service center
• Prepare year-end Audited Financial Statements and Notes to Accounts
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretary on statutory requirements
• Support system integration and contribute to process improvement/streamlining efforts
• Respond to internal stakeholders' requests or events as they occur
• Undertake any other ad hoc assignments as required

OVERVIEW
The Accountant assists the Finance Manager to perform day to day accounting and finance functions covering all aspects of financial management, financial accounting, budgeting, statutory and internal audit and reporting.

JOB SCOPES

1. Manage financial accounting and reporting functions

• Maintain the accounting system and subsystems, ensure accuracy of data transfer from source systems to accounting system.
• Supervise and review the accounting process for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Asset Management in accordance with accounting standards and principles.
• Exercise professional judgement to identify and apply accounting treatments to be adopted to meet statutory and internal reporting requirements.
• Perform quarterly close, GST return and prepare financial statements.

• Present key findings on financial performance and conduct annual budget exercise.
• Perform variance analysis and reporting to support Centres and HQ budget control management.

• Liaise with external and internal auditors on all audit matters
• Ensure annual statutory audit process is carried out in compliance and on time.
• Organise timely and effective internal audit process to ensure systems and internal control processes integrity, also in the review and implementation of best practices.

1. Manage financial policies and INTERNAL CONTROL processes

• Identify and assess operational and financial risks
• Assist to develop and execute risk management strategies to protect the organization's financial assets.
• Ensure compliance to policies, procedures and processes。

1. Manage STAKEHOLDERS

• Liaise with internal stakeholders on operational matters
• Liaise with statutory bodies and other external consultants for operational, financial matters.
• Liaise with bankers for banking and online banking maintenance matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word and Excel) .
• Strong hands-on working knowledge of Accounting Systems and Processes.
• Minimum three years’ experience in maintaining full sets of accounts and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and GST regulations.
