The Global Compliance Management Services - Centre of Excellence (CoE) is seeking to fill a full-time role of senior tax PMO. The candidate should have tax background and experience on the asset management industry. Candidates for this position will be capable of understanding technology at an intermediate level and leading internal projects (Medium to large) from conception through to the successful delivery of the project. The role will work within the Global Tax Compliance and Transformation team at the direction of the GCMS CoE or their delegate based in Singapore. The role is designed to afford the right candidate with the opportunity to learn many facets of the Tax business and engage internally and externally with clients. The breath of the role will also require someone with the ability to easily adapt to the ever-changing tax environment and to be flexible in the work required by the role. KPMG’s Global Tax Compliance and Transformation team is specifically designed to help clients achieve cost-efficiencies and gain better process control and visibility. The team has been established to support the growth of KPMG’s tax compliance service offerings. The aim of the team is to drive the implementation of internal and external initiatives within the Global Tax Compliance and Tax Transformation arena and ensure high quality on-going services are provided to several our clients. As part of the transformation team, this role will support 5 main strategic goals:

1. The first goal will be to support the building / development of the internal operational processes. These internal projects will be critical to developing the foundation and the integrity of the services which can be delivered.
2. The second goal is to lead and implement the transition initiatives for new clients in various countries and regions. Strong communication both written and verbal are mandatory to the role. To be successful you will need to have a ‘proactive’ approach to completing your work and supervising your peers’ work.

As such we are looking for professionals with previous experience (+7 years). Accounting and tax background in a plus. These professionals will have some specific goals around this competence, namely:

• Demonstrable project management or operational management experience
• The ability to engage across many levels of the client organisation and the ability to confidently interface across KPMG Global Tax Compliance network

Needs to quickly identify how work should be delivered and plan for its delivery with any known constraints such as pricing, skills available and timeframes and maximize the delivery center solution offering. • Should have skills to be able to manage all aspects of a medium-large project. The ability to appropriately structure a project for delivery is critical. Should possess skills to be able to understand the accounting/tax issues, implementation of technology solutions and other day to day issues. Tax acumen would be favorably considered.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. This person must be a team player and highly organized, as they will work internally and externally across many dimensions of the business. Job Description:

· Manage and oversee the entire accounting team for all outlet in both Singapore and Malaysia.

· Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.

· Oversee the processing of state and federal payroll taxes.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with CPA/CA/ACCA qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the Listing Company, Beauty & Message industries.

• Prior experience of managing multiple retail outlets is highly preferred

• Have a flare for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.

• Working Location: Central (Hybrid Working)
• Working Hours: 5 days, Monday – Friday (8:45 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic + Twice Yearly Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships before, during, and after engagements. Propose strategies to enhance client networks and relationships, leading to client retention and acquisition.
• Lead and develop the team by establishing clear working methodologies, techniques, frameworks, workflows, and procedures. Ensure the team's quality performance and alignment with the firm's audit processes and framework.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, guidelines, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with the managing partner and Business Unit heads in Singapore, within the group and regions, to develop and implement business growth strategies.
• Work with various business units and functions to leverage their expertise in improving and expanding the business.
• Develop, implement, and enforce communication and policies within the team and the firm. Facilitate effective communication within a diverse, cross-functional team.
• Lead, coach, and train junior team members to achieve technical competency, efficient performance, and talent pipeline development.

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or relevant discipline preferably with a professional qualification as recognised by SCTP.
