Job Description:

a. Corporate Taxation

• Support clients on taxation services as follows:
• Analyze Financial Statements & GL to identify strategies to minimize client’s tax costs, ensure tax compliance and accurate tax filing
• Preparation of corporate tax computations for clients from various industries
• Preparation of ECI and Form C/C-S and the filings to IRAS
• Preparation and filings of withholding taxes to IRAS
• Preparation of application of COR for DTA
• Research on various tax matters
• Any other ad hoc works related to corporate tax

b. Individual Taxation services

• Prepare the computation of clients’ individual taxes, preparation of IR8A and IR21 tax clearance
• Responsible for the e-filing of tax return to IRAS
• Preparation of AIS data

c. Supervisory role

• Coach and provide guidance to Senior / Tax Associates and Tax Interns
• Review tax computations and tax related work prepared by Senior / Tax Associates and/or Tax Interns to ensure accuracy and timely submission

d. Handle tax inquiries and audit from IRAS

e. Responsible for the transfer pricing documentations / projects

f. Assist Managers for any other tax related engagements and/or projects as assigned

g. Provide tax advisory services to clients

h. Administrative functions of tax assignments

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a Degree, preferably in an accounting/business/tax-related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Singapore Corporate & Individual tax compliance, with coaching / supervisory experience.
• Good knowledge in Singapore Tax system and rules
• ATP / ATA holders are advantageous.
• Those with prior experience in professional service firm is advantageous

Accounts

- Handle full set of accounts and finance functions in accordance to statutory requirements, company policies and procedures

- Provide data for budgeting and forecasting activities.

- Account receivable – prepare invoice, statement of accounts and send payment reminder to client.

- Liaise with external parties (including, but not limited to auditors, tax agent, secretary, etc.) and manage the process to ensure adherence and timely submission of the accounts/ returns.

- Prepare general ledger journal entries and bank reconciliation

HR

- Facilitate the monthly submission of CPF contributions and the annual filing of IR8A forms.

Admin

- PowerPoint slide preparation

- Coordinate hospitality & travel arrangement for our oversea guests.

· Assist in any other work as may be assigned

This position will be responsible for administrative tasks and HR duties, given the minimal volume of accounting transactions.

Job requirement:

· Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

· Able to work independently in meeting deadlines, meticulous and a good team player

· Preferably able to start work immediately or with 1 month notice period

About the role

We are inviting a self-driven individual to lead and manage a full fledge of accounting and finance activities for a client’s portfolio. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of tasks and problems to support international businesses, as well as being involved to other internal commercial matters and corporate secretary type of tasks.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Team Lead or Directors, understanding the business models of each assigned clients to act as an advisor, the duties and responsibilities are:

• Prepare and maintain the full set of accounts (AR/AP and GL) of the assigned clients’ portfolio along with supporting schedules and any other necessary reconciliation, as well as reporting and support cashflow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Prepare GST / Withholding Tax returns as well as statutory yearly reporting (i.e. XBRL files, Financial statements under IFRS and SFRS, etc.).
• Perform full monthly payroll processing including: maintain HR master data, process pay-runs, upkeep social security administration, statutory filing and annual income tax return submissions.
• Prepare the annual tax returns for the assigned clients.
• Assist the other Senior Accountants or Directors with company secretary activities for the assigned clients portfolio.
• Work on any other ad-hoc requests from clients as included in the agreed scope.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy / Finance or CA/CPA
• Minimum 3 or 4 years of experience in Accounting
• Must be IT savvy and comfortable with ERP systems. Experience with app searching and testing for XERO (ideal)
• Proficient in MS Excel is a must

This Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in Singapore to maintain high quality accounts, including overall accounting and reporting requirements across 4 Profit and Loss statements.

Key Responsibilities

Month end

• Responsible for full set month-end closing activities, including proposing accruals, processing journals and adjustments, and general understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Updating of P&L working budget files for actual data in a timely manner to support business decisions.
• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations.

Accounts Payable

• Responsible for vendor creation and managing vendor enquiries.
• Raising of Purchase Orders, or supporting other team members as required.
• Coordinate with shared service center to process invoices and staff claims payments.

Accounts Receivable

• Working with the wider production or client teams to obtain client Purchase Orders as required.
• Ensure timely invoicing to clients in accordance with project progress.
• Coordinate the raising of invoices with Shared Service Centre.
• Monitor and flag aged receivables as required.

Other

• Strive to maintain a high standard of accurate accounts, including ongoing proactive job/WIP reviews and closure.
• Preparation of Quarterly GST submission working file for review.
• Preparation of annual tax reporting pack for review.
• Responsible for coordination of annual external and internal audit requests.
• Provide technical support and advice to the business as appropriate.
• Coordinate intercompany recharges and transactions with other offices, including global and APAC recharges.
• Review and recommend improvements for process and procedures.
• Assist in any ad-hoc tasks upon request.

Characteristics and Technical Skills

• Knowledge and experience with SAP is beneficial.
