Monthly salary inclusive of allowance: $3300 to $4200 (company does not offer bonus)

Below is the Shift Timing (Working 5 days a week, involves rotating shift and support including night shift, weekends and public holidays)

• General shift: 9am to 6pm
• Afternoon shift: 2pm to 11pm
• Night shift: 10pm to 7am

Junior L2 Production Support (Java-base)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of integrated energy systems, including solar, battery storage, generators, IoT-enabled platforms, and smart utilities solutions. The role demands expertise in renewable energy systems, IoT technologies, and smart utilities, with a focus on creating sustainable, efficient, and future-ready infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities

Project Design and Development

o Engineer integrated energy systems combining solar PV, battery storage, generators, IoT platforms, and smart utility solutions.

o Conduct energy audits, feasibility studies, and performance simulations for both energy and smart utility projects.

o Create designs for smart utilities, including energy-efficient lighting, water metering, HVAC systems, and waste management.

Smart Utilities Integration

o Develop and implement smart utility systems to optimize energy, water, and resource usage.

o Integrate IoT-based solutions for real-time monitoring of utilities such as smart meters, leak detection systems, and automated controls.

o Enhance infrastructure efficiency through predictive analytics and data-driven optimization strategies

System Integration

o Oversee hybrid energy system integration, ensuring seamless functionality between solar, battery, generator, and IoT solutions.

o Incorporate smart grid and distributed energy resource (DER) management capabilities.

o Design and integrate communication networks (e.g., Modbus, Zigbee, LoRaWAN) for utility and energy systems.

Project Execution

o Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of energy and smart utility projects, including planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.

o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and third-party vendors to meet project goals.

o Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.

IoT and Automation Solutions

o Design IoT-enabled control systems for energy management, utility monitoring, and automation.

o Implement smart dashboards, predictive maintenance systems, and user-friendly interfaces for clients.

o Resolve communication and integration issues between IoT devices and cloud platforms.

Quality Assurance and Maintenance

o Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of energy and utility systems.

o Ensure high system reliability by implementing preventive maintenance schedules.

o Document all processes, configurations, and test results for compliance and auditing purposes.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, IoT Engineering, or a related field.

· Advanced degree or certifications in Smart Utilities, Energy Systems, or IoT Technologies is a plus.

· 3 – 4 years of experience in designing and managing solar, battery, generator, IoT, and/or smart utility projects.

· Proven expertise in hybrid energy system integration and smart infrastructure projects.

· Proficiency in energy modeling and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, HOMER, ETAP).

· Familiarity with smart utility systems like smart meters, advanced HVAC controls, and water management solutions.

· Hands-on experience with IoT platforms, protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoRaWAN), and communication technologies.

· Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, power electronics, and utility management systems.

· Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, or other design and engineering software.

Job Description:

• Review tender specifications / customers’ requirements and prepare process design.
• Obtain quotation from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors based on the requirements.
• Interact closely with vendors to understand new technologies and effective implementation of customer applications using vendor’s information.
• Interact closely with customers on technical information and clarifications.
• Prepare cost effective costings.
• Prepare commercial & technical proposals with specifications for timely bid submissions.
• Generate / coordinate P&ID and General Arrangement drawings.
• Work with Business Development Manager to apply costing and process design strategies to increase probability of winning bids.
• Coordinate with Process / Mechanical / Electrical & Instrumentation Team for technical clarification support if required.
• Follow up with customers on submitted proposals and potential opportunities.
• Negotiate with vendors and customers if required.
• Upon award of projects, review and verify completeness of PO contract and compliance with agreed requirements.
• Communicate and nurture relationships with customers to drive more opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge or previous experience in water treatment process and municipal wastewater treatment such as Filtration, UF, RO, EDI, SRU, MBBR, MBR etc.
• Knowledge and experience on pumps, motors, valves, piping, mechanical and electrical components for oil and gas industry is added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work on own initiative.
• Willing to travel for site visits, sales presentation to customers and technical clarification meeting occasionally.
