One Research Engineer position is open in the research group of Assistant Professor Zhao Lin, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The Research Engineer (RE) will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on visual navigation foundation model for mobile robots, exploration using reinforcement learning control, learning-based control, etc. The RE will develop and train algorithms that enable intelligent and robust autonomous navigation in unseen environments. Job Description:

The DevSecOps Engineer works along with the Project teams to onboard new squads in the DevOps environment. DevSecOps Engineers will guide them for continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous testing. DevSecOps Engineer works closely with the development team and operation team to create DevOps strategy and toolset that suits the individual squads.

Responsibility:

• Work with the CI/CD engineers to build initial DevSecOps pipeline supporting squads when onboarded to the project
• Overall Support of the Pipeline (Build & Deploy) to ensure seamless deployment
• Customization of existing pipeline and template based on squad requirements
• Build and manage AWS cloud formation scripts to handle configuration management and ensure continuous deployment
• Ensure availability of infrastructure which includes troubleshooting underlying system if applicable
• Coordinate with the infrastructure team on standard updates and ensure those are reflected on a regular basis
• Facilitate induction programs to provide guidance when new squads onboard the project

Skills:

• At least 3 years hands-on experience in building and developing CI/CD pipeline and workflow (Gitlab CI/CD preferred)
• Good hands-on experience on using AWS Cloud Formation scripts for configuration management and application deployment
• At least 3 years experience with AWS platform (EC2, ELB, VPC) in general and tools such as Lambda, RDS, Dynamo DB
• At least 2 years experience in programming, and overall knowledge on one or more of the following programming language (Java, Spring Boot, Node JS, Angular JS, React Native)
• At least 1 year experience working closely with infrastructure. Experience in Linux, Windows, network troubleshooting is a plus
• Experience on working in an Agile environment, in a close collaboration with developers
• Knowledge on continuous integration, test automation, version control, and software configuration management

Job Scope :

- Inspect outgoing parts and incoming sub-contracted parts according to established procedure / specification of inspection and carry out Incoming Process Inspection.

- Maintain quality record and file quality data.

- Highlight quality problems discovered to the QA Manager and Factory Manager / Production Manager / Asst. Production Manager for action.

- Ensure that all non-conforming products are not mixed with good products prior to disposition.

- Authorise the rejection of parts if found unsatisfactory.

- Authorise the release of conforming parts to be sent to the store for subsequent delivery to customers.

- Perform factory routine test and check of switchboards completed in the workshop.

- Testing and commissioning of switchboards on board vessels or on-site to the satisfaction of customers; and attend to warranty claims / quality complaints.

- Conduct official tests on the switchboards which require witnessing by surveyors or consultants and also maybe with the presence of customers.

- Assist the Manager in quality responsibilities and achieving quality objectives.

- Maintain good housekeeping in the QA Department.

- Observe and adhere to safety rules during the performance of every task.

- Ensure the use of calibrated instrument for inspection.

- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of Product Non-Conformity.

- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problem detected.

- Verify the implementation of solutions.

- Control further processing and delivery of Non-Conforming products until the deficiency has been corrected.

- Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors.

Requirements:

- Nitec / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

- 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience

- Experience with Switchboard / Panels an added advantage

- Able to travel for work occassionally

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Comfortable working at Tuas. Transport provided
