Job Scope:

System Reliability and Performance:

Maintain the availability and reliability of services across distributed systems.

Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues before they affect users. Proactively analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal system performance.

Automation and Process Improvement:

Develop automation scripts for tasks like deployments, monitoring, backups, scaling, etc. Automate the provisioning and scaling of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Create self-healing systems that detect and recover from failures automatically.

Monitoring and Performance Management Tools:

Hands-on experience with system and application monitoring tools such as:

AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail.

Capacity Planning and Scaling:

Monitor resource usage and plan for future capacity based on growth projections. Implement systems to dynamically scale resources based on traffic patterns and system loads.

Log Management and Analysis:

Expertise in managing logs for audit, security, and performance purposes using tools such as AWS CloudWatch Logs.

Security and Compliance:

Knowledge of security best practices for system hardening, patching, and vulnerability management. Familiarity with AWS security tools such as AWS Security Hub, AWS IAM, and Amazon Inspector.

Skillset Requirements:

• AWS resource utilization analysis, capacity planning, and forecasting.

About the role:

SIMBA Telecom has been appointed as Singapore’s 4th mobile telecommunications network service provider and currently we are building Singapore’s newest 5G mobile and fixed broadband network.

The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Design, plan, and implement the network – IP Routing.
• Lead IP network testing procedures and acceptance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Cooperate with different teams to achieve and complete the assigned tasks.

• Lead and participate in various projects for the IP network service integration, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, communication links and routing protocols

The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:

• At least 4 years of working experience as an IP Network Engineer
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma specialized in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• CCNP or CCIE certification preferred
• Proficiency in IP network engineering, network security, design, operation, and optimization tasks.
• Familiar with Internet, MetroEthernet and IPVPN solutions.
• Experienced on the network products from Cisco, Huawei, and others.
• Essential skills in network routing protocols ISIS, OSPF, eBGP/iBGP, FRR, BFD, LDP, RSVP, VLL and VPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, QoS, MPLS.

• Manages and maintains data backup infrastructure to provide reliable restore capabilities to data owners.

• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skills

• 2 plus years+ experience in API
• Must possess extensive knowledge of webServices, SOAP, REST, Service Oriented Architecture
• Knowledge of Control-M and Datastage is a plus
• Proficiency in webMethods and Java

· Proficient in converting flat file, XML, and fixed length formats

· Understanding of model driven development
