PMCE is seeking a dedicated and experienced Solar Engineer/Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing of technical activities of solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Engineering: Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar PV installations.
Use software tools to model solar energy production and optimize system performance.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop project schedules and manage timelines to ensure timely completion.
Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Installation Oversight: Supervise on-site installation activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams.
Conduct inspections and quality control checks during and after installation.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, photos, and as-built drawings.
Prepare and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities and clients.
Generate performance reports and analyze system data to ensure optimal operation.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers regarding system performance and maintenance.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Conduct training sessions for clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Participate in professional development opportunities and certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Relevant safety certifications
- Experience with battery storage systems and microgrid design.
- Familiarity with energy management systems and software.
- Knowledge of local regulations and incentives related to solar energy in Singapore.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with frequent visits to project sites.
- May require working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
