RESPONSIBILITIES

BW Group is seeking an SOX Manager to join our SOX Team with the responsibility to design and implement SOX controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") regulations. Your primary focus will be on understanding end-to-end business processes and controls, including identifying control design gaps and testing operating effectiveness of controls. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure internal controls are effectively designed and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit or SOX compliance with a SEC registrant within the maritime industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, direct and lead SOX compliance efforts including annual risk assessment and scoping exercise, assessment of controls design, controls effectiveness validation, timely tracking on gap remediation according to the relevant framework surrounding the ICFR (e.g. COSO, PCAOB, SEC guidelines, etc)
• Maintain and update SOX test plans, perform test work and provide guidance to team members on testing approaches and methodologies in accordance with the relevant frameworks

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a research fellow (RF) for the various projects on chronic disease. • Maintain organisation charts and prepare monthly HR reports
• Support in the update of HR policies, processes and procedures

Performance Management

• Support the full suite of annual performance review cycle (communications to staff, creation of online forms and provide updates on completion rates and analytics)
• Work closely with business leaders to ensure the performance management exercises are properly executed and completed on time

Pay Review

• Support the annual pay review process
• Creation of excel spreadsheets for management input and analytics to update data on performance excel spreadsheets
• Participate in C&B surveys and benchmark with various key companies in similar industry

Employee Relations

• Support to business leaders in all employee relations matters
• Provide HR policies guidance and interpretation to employees
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary issues and counsel staff

Offboarding

• Coordinate exit process: payroll, employee records, exit interviews

Payroll & Benefits Administration

• Manage and execute regular benefits administrations
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of CPF, government-claim submissions (Maternity, Paternity, Childcare and NS claims), income tax (IR8A and IR21) matters
• Maintain accuracy and update movements in company insurance policy

Employee Engagement

• Plan and execute internal employee engagement activities such as dialogues, and corporate staff engagement events.

Learning & Development

• Conduct training needs analysis for business units and employees.
• Source for external vendors, coordinate course registration and training grant applications
• Evaluate and monitor training programs and budgets

Ad Hoc Projects

• Drive and implement process improvements to increase HR efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• University Degree in Human Resources or related degree
• Strong knowledge of HR generalist functions and at least 3 years of relevant experience

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Assistant in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, School of Computing. The Research Assistant will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more research projects. He/she should possess experience or interest in at least one of the following research areas:

Key responsibilities:

• Build a tree based private blockchain system for the given specification. It is a tree structure with hash based dependency for validation similar to blockchain.
• Evaluate the tree based system for efficiency, accuracy, scalability, throughput and energy efficiency through simulations with varying data complexities.
• Build an application using the tree based structure and gather insights from users, developers or businesses leveraging BlockForest, focusing on ease of usage/integration and practical benefits.

Procurement Specialist (Contract)

You will be responsible for the procurement of spares/parts, supplies and services for the maintenance and operation of the power plant and its facilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant engineers and personnel from the maintenance / operations / facilities teams on the requirements of the materials / services based on stipulated technical specifications and scope of work descriptions.
• Perform sourcing activities from both local and overseas vendors.
• Prepare and send out RFQs to the relevant suppliers/vendors and monitor their submissions.
• Conduct supplier evaluation and manage selection processes to ensure submissions are in line with the technical and commercial specifications.
• Expedite the delivery of the order and communicate with the internal stakeholders for any changes to the order as needed.
• Resolve supply, quality, and service invoicing issues with vendors and ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all the procurement transactions.
• Undertake procurement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Control & Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Technical procurement experience in a similar environment will be advantageous.
• Strong technical knowledge and evaluation writing skills.
• Excellent planning, organising, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite especially Excel. SAP experience will be a plus.

• To look after worksite environmental, health & safety, carry out site inspections and to engage workers and stakeholders on maintaining good environmental health standards.
• Advise & train workers, staff and site personnel on EHS.
• Responsible for monitoring all activities on site and ensure that all contractors comply with the requirements of environmental compliance.
• Record, compile and prepare HSE reports and submit site environmental control report periodically.

Requirements:

• Registered ECO with NEA.
• WSQ Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• At least 5 years of experience in the building & construction industry as a Registered ECO.
