Since 2019, Fei Yue Community Services has been at the forefront of this initiative, focusing on two primary objectives: increasing our capacity to deliver timely social interventions that address the root causes of crime and reducing re-offending rates among accused individuals.

Through our work, we assess and identify criminogenic social needs and facilitate referrals to relevant social services, aiming to create a more supportive environment that promotes rehabilitation and lowers the demand for future investigations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide information and referral services for offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
• Conduct risk assessment, social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning.
• Timely preparation and submission of reports and case recordings.
• Conduct meetings, sessions, workshops and programme to offenders, ex-offenders, and/or their next of kin
• Required to cover office duties at various centres

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution
• Possess at least two (2) years of experience working in a similar setting (e.g. Social service agencies)
• Comfortable to work with offenders and ex-offenders in Police and Prison settings
• Able to work in a fast-pace and stressful environment.
• Required to work on weeknights and weekends on needs basis
• Has maturity, communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with professionals, and families from diverse backgrounds
• Able to develop empathy/ empathic responses, reflective capacity self-awareness.
• Adaptive with multi-tasking skills and problem-solving skills

About Community Mental Health Department:

Our Community Resource, Engagement and Support (CREST) teams support clients who are at risk of or diagnosed with mental illness as well as their caregivers. The teams provide basic emotional support and monitoring of their mental health conditions through home visits and service linkages.

Responsibilities:

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders such as government agencies, grassroots, and community-based organizations to raise awareness of mental health
• Conduct mental health screening to identify those who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and connect them with the right services for early diagnosis and treatment
• Provide basic emotional and cognitive support to clients with mental health issues and/or their caregivers and link them up with relevant services based on their needs
• Ensure proper maintenance of case documentation and timely submission of reports to external parties
• Manage volunteers to support outreach events and conduct activities when necessary
• Establish and support the run of a caregiver support group

Requirements:

• Degree Holder preferably with some social service experience
• Passionate to work in the mental health sector and community services
• Proficient in Mandarin or dialects as the outreach talks are conducted in mandarin
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• A team player who can also work independently
• Detail-oriented in keeping proper documentation
• This position is on a contract basis
