The Test Engineer will be based in Changi South reporting to NPI Manager.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment for state-of-the-art semiconductor component manufacturing equipment's.

Job Responsibilities

• Directs and/or coordinate test process flow for system Integration and modular testing of high precisions electromechanical assemblies.
• Directs and/or coordinate test solutions for system Integration and modular testing in collaboration with OEM to meet the product functional performance to achieve zero defects in field.
• Directs and/or coordinates electronic and electromechanical engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
• Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
• Evaluates and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for monitoring and management purposes.
• Resolve test yield problems by performing evaluation of root causes, developing, and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
• Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
• Perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics or Mechatronics field or equivalent experience and training which requires at least 4 years of experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
• Modular/ System Integration Testing: Product functional testing and troubleshooting various test solution at various level component, modular and final system
• Experience in functional software, measuring equipment’s (Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, sensors, measuring gauges etc.) and tools that are integrated to perform the functional test to cover the product functionality
• Experience on modify or updating existing software solutions to support product design changes or test enhancements
• Experience in creating and maintaining stand operating procedures to enable easy of manufacturing and meeting all audit compliance.

Essential Functions:

1. Derive organoid models from human tissue samples and perform drug screening for patient samples in adherence to company SOP’s and compliance to relevant regulatory guidelines.
2. Perform in-vitro experiments for internal quality assessment and lot-to-lot tests to monitor the performance of lab-developed test under a clinical lab setting.
3. Project Management. Planning, managing, executing, troubleshooting, and delivering of in vitro projects.
4. Perform laboratory tests and data analyses to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations.
5. Assay development. Develop new assay protocols and cell culture models on identified topics relevant to the field.
6. Work with Quality Manager, actively contribute and support the implementation of process improvement programs.
7. Provide guidance to junior team members in clinical documentation process as well as different cell and molecular lab techniques.
8. Inventory management, update accounting records on Navision.
9. Conduct literature searches on identified topics relevant to the field. Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those that improve reliability and efficiency.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in cancer biology / life science relevant fields

· At least 5 years of Clinical laboratory work experience.

· Experience with Clinical laboratory process documentation.

· Prior cell culture and molecular biology lab experience.

· Experience working with iPSC / MSC / primary cells / human tissue / 3D cell culture/ PDX.

· Prior experience in microscopic work/image base analysis/flow cytometry analysis

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive Maintenance (PM):

• Lead and execute preventive maintenance strategies with technician team for all critical production equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime.
• Develop and update PM schedules and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures.

2. Troubleshooting and Major Equipment Downtime:

• Provide technical expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues during major breakdowns.
• Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support the repair and maintenance team during critical equipment down situations.

3. Equipment Down Reporting:

• Track and report on equipment downtime, analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports on equipment failures, downtime reasons, and actions taken to minimize future disruptions.

4. Production Planning Support:

• Assist in production planning by coordinating equipment availability and maintenance schedules to minimize impact on production timelines.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment usage and throughput.

5. New Material Qualification:

• Work closely with the QC team to qualify new materials and ensure they meet required specifications.
• Coordinate testing and evaluation processes for new materials, providing technical input to ensure compatibility with existing equipment.

6. Work Instructions and Process Improvement:

• Develop, review, and update detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance manuals for equipment operation and repair.
• Ensure that work instructions are clear, comprehensive, and easy to follow for both operators and technician team.

7. Spare Parts Management:

• Manage spare parts inventory for critical equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and fast access to required parts.

8. Machine Improvement & Optimization:

• Continuously evaluate production equipment for potential improvements, such as upgrades or modifications
• Lead initiatives to optimize existing equipment, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall production efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Preferably with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering roles focused on equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, production support, or similar fields.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and working with various industrial systems and machinery.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely completion of equipment improvement projects.
