As a member of Sequent's Client Service Team, located in our Singapore office, you’ll be a valued part of an expanding independent trust company renowned for its dynamic approach to financial services.
This role offers the opportunity to work with & learn from Client Service, Accounting, Compliance and Wealth Planning professionals on an interesting and diverse portfolio of UHNW families and individuals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration of international mandates (principally trusts and companies) and connected financial affairs, liaising with clients, advisors, third party service providers and family offices throughout Asia.
– Take an active role in trust management and develop long-term & multi-generational
relationships with families and their advisors
– Maintaining and developing personal contact with clients, advisors and other related
parties. This includes the option to travel in and around Asia, supporting the
Relationship Managers
– Taking and recording of fiduciary decisions on the mandates assigned, within Company guidelines
– Liaising with staff in our global offices,
– Co-ordination of mandate specific transactions with bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents and/or consultants
– Via active involvement, develop your knowledge of investing in a diverse subset of asset classes, including fixed income, equities, crypto-currency, real estate, art, yachts and aeroplanes
Requirements
– Distinctly reliable and precise, conscientious and professional
– Client handling skills, excellent demeanour
– Capable of problem-solving and acting independently
– Able to establish priorities and with strong organisational skill
– Flexible in the work organisation
– Capable of multitasking with high quality standards
– Commercial training/experience, ideally in the banking, fiduciary or legal area
– 2 – 5 years of experience in the administration of trust or corporate structures
– Member of (or desire to study for the membership of) STEP or ICSA
– Fluency in English; any other language a plus, especially Mandarin
– Fully computer literate (MS Office)
– Professional, diplomatic, helpful, co-operative team player
– Absolute discretion, integrity and loyalty. High ethical standards
