Responsibilities

The Assistant Executive will provide assistance to the Executive Director (ED) and support to the Administration Team in the day-to-day management of co11ab’s operations as directed by the ED. NTU Shared Services (NSS) is a centralized unit within Nanyang Technological University (NTU) that provides a wide range of administrative, operational, and support services to various departments and units within the university. Nanyang Business School (NBS) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Fellow (Post-doc) with Prof. Xin Chang’s research group. This position is supported by a Tier III grant to establish a Climate Transformation Programme (CTP) at NTU. As part of this programme, the Climate Finance Cluster will assess the multifaceted business risks posed by the physical impacts of climate change, narrow the protection gap, and facilitate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for developing procedures to measure and price risks arising from climate change suitable for each company so that climate risk can be managed by companies and hedged by investors, and seeing this work through to publication in major research journals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use computational linguistic tools and machine learning techniques to analyze discussions on climate change in corporate social responsibility reports, conference call transcripts, and the Management Discussion and Analysis section of companies’ annual reports

• Construct a dataset that can produce a climate risk fact sheet containing essential information about various climate risk exposure (e.g., drought, flooding) of a region or a city

• Partner with shared services team to deliver a full spectrum of HR business partner services to all levels of staff in compliance with HR policies, audit requirements and legal obligations (e.g., Employment Act, CPF & IRAS regulations etc.)

Responsibilities

As a Finance Executive, you are responsible for performing end-to-end functions such as billing, payment collection, invoice, bank, fixed asset, and reporting. Be expected to work closely with various internal stakeholders to assist in both internal and external financial reporting and data analysis.

• Perform end-to-end accounts functions including but not limited to checking and validation, billing, payment collection and reporting
• Responsible for accounts receivable process by preparing prompt and accurate clients’ invoices for monthly billing and timely payment collection
• Responsible for accounts payables process by checking and validating vendor invoices and corporate credit card statement
• Reconcile monthly bank statement with Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central
• Assist in fixed asset process including asset registering, asset tagging and record tracking
• Assist in month-end financial closing activities
• Assist in financial reporting and financial analysis
• Assist in annual audit for statutory reporting, tax compliance and internal control compliance
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as required

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related fields
• Professional qualification with ISCA/ACCA preferred
• Role is open to fresh graduates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
• Task- oriented, focused, and meticulous
