OVERVIEW

As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and optimal performance of all broadcast equipment and systems. Your role will involve maintaining high technical standards to guarantee the continuous and uninterrupted transmission of our originated channels. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of broadcast equipment and contribute to new installation projects
• Lead assigned engineering projects, managing the planning, design, and implementation phases
• Maintain and update system and infrastructure diagrams to ensure they reflect any changes to the facility or infrastructure
• Ensure continuous, uninterrupted operation of CNBC Asia Pacific’s originated channels
• Maintain and ensure the full operational functionality of production systems to support scheduled production activities

• Address and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruption to broadcast operations
• Perform routine and critical maintenance on on-air transmission equipment, studio equipment, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), air conditioning and computers, ensuring timely and efficient service
• Perform front line maintenance for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, including air conditioning and UPS systems
• Liaise with external suppliers, manufacturers and third-party service providers as required to source fixes for any identified gaps
• Provide proactive, engaged technical support to the Engineering team and ensure all systems remain up-to-date and functional.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant experience in maintaining broadcast or mission critical IT systems
• Familiarity with video transcoding technology, video formats and codecs and file-based systems/workflows
• Proven ability to solve complex technical issues and a passion for continuous learning and tackling new challenges
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while effectively resolving problems
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
