Job Summary:

Manages the back of house operations, including Daily & Banquet menu planning, cost control, administration communication (all levels), manpower planning, and hygiene and safety management.

Key Responsibilities:

·Responsible for the overall daily food production and back of the house operations.

·Maintain and enhance manpower management by daily effective communication.

·Ensure that quality and wholesome food is served in the facility.

·Plan and execute monthly rotating menus and special food promotion with the Unit Manager.

·Manage daily customer feedback concerning services provided through effective communication and effective customer service management.

·Liaise and produce for banquet events of the day/ week with F&B Coordinator/ Supervisor.

·Ensure that all areas of services provided are maintained at the required in-house and corporate standards.

·Assist in co-ordinating activities from the head office during official visits from other related departments i.e. Purchasing, HR, Finance and Business Development

·Submit weekly and monthly financial/administration reports to the Unit Manager.

·Submit all HR related documentation to Unit Manager concerning employment, termination, leave application, timecards, manpower costs etc. from back of house operations.

·Attend weekly service meetings to improve and enhance service level.

·Evaluate and administer manpower plans, employee training & development.

·Ensure the safe operation of all cleaning equipment and report to the management of any faulty equipment.

·Maintain and improve hygiene and safety standards of both front of house and back of house operations.

·Keeping Food Sampling and Daily Cooking Core temperature recordings.

·Ensure recording temperature for all refrigerators.

Day-To-Day Duties

· Assist the site operation team on the daily cleaning operations

· Upkeep the cleaning standard as per contract requirements which includes executing proper cleaning techniques, in term of cleaning of toilets/ offices/ common areas/ hospital treatment area/patient room cleaning & etc assigned by the site supervisor

· Provide quality service to client and attend to complaints/ site issues

· Learn to operate/ manage technology (if any) at certain sites, eg. Robotic, quality audit system, smart toilet system monitoring/ reporting

· Follow cleaning schedule assigned by site manager and ensure the job complete according to site requirement/standard.

· Handle site inspection and paperwork as per site request

· Any other duties as assigned by Manager

This is a highly demanding role that requires frequent travel, weekend work, and a hands-on approach to management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Oversight:

• Oversee daily operations of multiple coffeeshop outlets, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all locations.

• Develop and enforce operational standards, policies, and procedures.

2. Team Management:

• Recruit, train, and manage outlet managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans when necessary.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

• Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

4. Financial Accountability:

• Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability for each outlet.

• Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve revenue and reduce expenses.

5. Market and Customer Insights:

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

• Gather customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.

6. Travel and Flexibility:

• Mandatory travel within and outside Singapore to oversee operations, attend meetings, and explore growth opportunities.

• Work on weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours as required to meet operational needs.

7. Crisis Management:

• Quickly address and resolve operational issues, staff disputes, or customer complaints.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in operations management within the food & beverage (F&B) or retail industry, with experience managing multiple outlets.

• Skills:

• Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).

• Attributes:

• Flexibility to travel regionally and work on weekends and public holidays.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with POS systems, financial management tools, and F&B industry software.
