DEPUTY MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER, EV TECH UNIT

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC), under LTA’s Technology and Industry Development Group. The NEVC is set up to facilitate EV adoption, spearhead regulation and deployment of EV charging systems, as part of the development of a thriving Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem in Singapore. To stay ahead of technological developments, NEVC has set up a Tech unit to facilitate the trial of innovative charging technologies/solutions that goes beyond today’s standards. In this role, you will be part of the EV Tech unit under the NEVC. This role requires technical expertise in EV charging technologies, including safety and standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Identifying and foresighting new EV charging technology areas with high readiness for wide scale deployment.
• Liaising with representatives from external parties who are keen on trialling novel EV charging solutions; coordinating across internal LTA stakeholders in assessing the submission; and supporting external agencies in reviewing cross domain areas to enable the EV charging trials/sandboxes.
• Developing and organising consultation platforms, both with public and private stakeholders, to ideate and advance on EV charging
solution/technology related matters and opportunities in Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the National Electric Vehicle Centre (NEVC), under LTA’s Technology and Industry Development Group. To manage the greater EV adoption, NEVC has also set up a battery unit to study EV battery related matters, such as battery fire incident response. In this role, you will be part of the newly established EV battery unit under the NEVC. This role requires technical expertise in battery related technologies, including safety and standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Resourcing solutions needed to address various battery related matters ranging from safety to solutions research, development and validation.
• Developing and organising consultation platforms, both with public and private stakeholders, to ideate and advance on EV battery related matters and opportunities in Singapore.
• Expanding EV batteries related expertise and knowledge within the organisation.
• Supporting standards development relating to batteries.
• Identifying and foresighting of new developmental areas relating to EV battery.

SENIOR MANAGER, BUS TENDERING & COMMERCIAL

[What you will be working on]

You will oversee a team that will work closely and collaboratively with the various LTA divisions to prepare and evaluate the bus package tenders and other bus-related tenders. In the course of work, you will provide guidance and direction to the team who will also conduct marketing scanning to understand best practices on bus tendering in other countries as well as review processes and business requirements to improve the contracts. You will also work with officers who oversee the performance of the operators for the bus packages and bus-related contracts. In addition, there are opportunities for you to work with the relevant ministries to obtain the necessary approvals to facilitate the calling and award of the tenders. [What you will be working on]

You will be part of the team to supporting the IT strategy, governance and compliance activities with focus on supporting LTA’s data governance framework and management processes. You will be involved in:
•Reviewing and enhancing the LTA’s data governance policy and processes to ensure effective management of data security, privacy and quality.
•Deriving business insights from large and real-time datasets for strategic planning and operational efficiency. Working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, mine and analyse data, integrate data from various data sources, and deploy data pipelines in support of organization analytical needs.

[What you will be working on]

The Rail Regulation Division is responsible for the regulation of rail operators’ licences, codes of practice and operational safety as well as monitoring the performance of rail operators in operating and maintaining Singapore’s Rapid Transit Systems (MRT & LRT). You will be part of a dynamic team directly involved in ensuring safe and reliable train services on MRT and LRT.

As a key member of the dynamic team, you will be directly involved in:
a) Monitoring of rail operators’ performance in areas of operation, maintenance and safety, through review of regulatory submissions by the operators, the conduct of audits and inspections and implementing initiatives and programmes to ensure that the commuters’ safety and travelling experience are safeguarded.
b) Conduct of regulatory investigations on rail incidents;
c) Rail emergency exercises conducted by LTA and the rail operators as well as rail operations impact analysis for planned and unplanned service disruptions.

[What you will be working on]

The Transit Operator Performance Management (TOPM) division is responsible for managing the rail operator’s performance in terms of operations and maintenance of MRT systems, to ensure high reliability and availability of train service. You will play a key role in:
