Job Overview

In this role, you will develop new, innovative solutions to problems plaguing the seismic imaging field. You will use knowledge of signal processing, wave propagation, and numerical optimization to develop and test high-end algorithms, sequences, or programs with predefined geophysical or engineering content.

You will participate in the validation of your contributions with senior Research staff and Production staff by analyzing and evaluating processing and imaging results on synthetic and field data. You may work independently or as part of team, but always in close collaboration with Imaging Geophysicist, remaining in-tune with production demands and industry trends.

You will also work closely with Software Engineers on the development, deployment, and improvement of high-performance computing applications on GPU and CPU architectures based on new imaging techniques and technological advances. You may be asked to present your work and results to colleagues and clients, as well as externally at conferences and workshops, and to prepare technical articles for industry proceedings and journals.

Required Qualification & Experience

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Geophysics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other related technical discipline
• Capable of abstracting geophysical concepts with mathematical languages
• Excellent coding skills with FORTRAN and/or C/C++
• Knowledge of high-performance computing is preferred (MPI, multi-threading, GPU, etc.)
• Knowledge of geophysics and seismic imaging preferred, but not essential
• Experience with cross-platform development preferred, but not essential

Job Description

Clinical Care

• Comply with approved standards of nursing practices
• Work closely with the resident’s doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents; update on changes in the residents’ conditions and needs
• Assist staff nurses (SN) to develop care plan for each resident and ensure care delivery and nursing interventions are as outlined in the care plan
• Assist in the evaluation of the resident’s response to care interventions and revision of care plan if necessary
• Assist in the assessments of all new admissions
• Prepare residents’ medical records and ensure all documentations are up to date
• Prepare and administer medications (oral and subcutaneous) to residents, complying with safe medication practices (only for those who have been assessed competent in the administration of oral and subcutaneous medicine)
• Supervise junior staff to ensure safe and quality resident care, and in compliance to standards
• Deal with emergency and incident that arises and ensure prompt action to mitigate situation. Escalate promptly to staff nurse/ supervisor, where necessary

Quality

• Work with team to maintain a safe and clean ward environment
• Participate in Quality Assurance/ Infection Control Committee to monitor and evaluate safe, quality and appropriateness of nursing care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Is responsible to be familiar with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and all emergency protocols

Training and Development

• Participate in training and development of junior staff
• Ensure newly joined nursing aide, health care assistant and health attendant are oriented and inducted to provide safe care to residents

Administration

• Ensure the safe storage of all confidential files, records, documents; and that residents confidentiality is maintained at all time
• Ensure that effective and cooperative working relationships are maintained within the Nursing Department and between internal and external customer groups
• Assist in maintaining an inventory list of ward equipment and regular maintenance
• Assist to plan roster and do manpower deployment when needed
• Assume the role of Overall in charge in the absence of RN maintenance

JOB SUMMARY:

Sustainability at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSI) encompasses our environmental and social initiatives. In this position, you will be focused primarily on our environmental initiatives and will be involved in a wide array of projects, which will include action on climate change with our key suppliers, HIGG FEM, raw material traceability, responsibly sourced product tracking, supply chain mapping, product certification, water stewardship. You will contribute to the success of WSI's sustainability initiatives by ensuring these projects are expertly executed with the timely collection, management, and analysis of data from our supply chain partners.

An ideal candidate should have an interest in creating business solutions to sustainability issues and be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a 12-months contract position with the possibility of conversion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support the WSI Sustainability team in in achieving companywide and brand-specific goals related to climate change & responsible materials

· Oversee self-managed and third-party environmental and energy assessments in supply chain and vendor base such as Higg Index for some markets.

· Support Scope 3 emissions reduction strategy with supply chain to accelerate impact toward energy and emission reduction goals

· Support data collection, data analysis and reporting of environmental sustainability KPIs

· Drive improvements in vendors environmental performance through training, one-one engagement

· Engage WSI vendors on data collection and drive compliance with international regulations and internal requirements pertaining to textile and wood sources

· Generate reports highlighting trends and opportunities to drive business integration of sustainability

· Manage and track product certification requirements

· Coordinate with internal and external partners for maintenance, development, and enhancement of data management systems and reporting

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

· Tertiary education in business, environmental sustainability, supply chain management, or related fields

· Minimum 3 years of working experience in sustainability, experience in climate change & scope 3 emissions reduction projects is an advantage

· Detail oriented with proven analytical skills and experience processing large amounts of data to derive insight and develop recommendations for action

· Independent and proactive in setting own goals and deadlines

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills (especially Excel)

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Knowledgeable about Power BI is a plus
