About the Role
As the Head of Asia Dev, Biostatistics at GSK, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing our biostatistics teams in China and Japan, with a focus on achieving synergies across Asia. You will be responsible for integrating and enhancing biostatistics capabilities, ensuring alignment with global clinical development strategies, and driving the adoption of innovative statistical approaches. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering seamless collaboration between the Asia region and GSK's central organization, ultimately accelerating access to innovative medicines and vaccines in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent is accountable for leading Biostatistics Asia with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Lead the Biostatistics Asia team, including statistics, programming, and real-world data analytics.
- Build a highly efficient organization aiming for Upper Quartile objectives and global regulatory simultaneous submissions.
- Partner with Global Biostatistics Leadership Liaison to develop a fit-for-future Biostatistics organization in China and Japan.
- Foster a culture of technical innovation and statistical best practices within the team.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to maintain best practice sharing opportunities and provide strategic inputs to global development strategy.
- Build strategic partnerships with key internal groups across R&D and Commercial to ensure successful development and commercialization of the portfolio.
- Ensure high-quality execution of all trial analyses and submissions, including planning resource strategy and managing budget, quality, and CRO oversight.
- Influence cross-functional teams (e.g., clinical, regulatory, commercial, health outcomes, pharmacovigilance) as a member of the Asia Development Leadership team.
- Enhance the reputation of Asia Dev Biostatistics through collaboration with external academic and industry stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide statistical support for China and Japan medical and post-submission activities, including reimbursement analyses and full lifecycle efforts.
Why you?
To be successful in the role, you need to have a proven leadership experience in biostatistics, including statistics, programming, and real-world data analytics.
You’ll also:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or Business or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or Business
- Min of 15 years of experience in Biostatistics including roles in statistics, programming and real world data analytics
- Min of 10 years of leadership experience
- Experience in developing and fostering a culture of technical innovation and statistical.
- Strong capability in building and leading a highly efficient organization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global counterparts and provide strategic inputs to global development strategy.
- Proven track record of building strategic partnerships with key internal groups across R&D and Commercial.
- Experience in managing high-quality execution of trial analyses and submissions, including resource strategy, budget, and CRO oversight.
- Strong influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in engaging with external academic and industry stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Expertise in providing statistical support for medical and post-submission activities, including reimbursement analyses.
