Our client, one of the world's largest container shipping companies, is looking for qualified candidates to join their organisation under the Career Development Program (CDP). The CDP was designed with the goal of recruiting talented individuals as Liner Business Generalists, providing them with opportunities to develop a deep understanding of the business through global job rotations across various departments and offices.

Selected candidates must demonstrate both functional and geographical mobility.

We are looking for candidates to join as Assistant Manager / Manager for Global Sales Management, who will then be further rotated.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Regularly engage with equity terminals to review their operational and financial performance, aiming to maximize profitability through improved productivity and efficiency.
• Assist in setting and monitoring terminal KPIs, identifying performance gaps, and providing actionable insights.
• Prepare and deliver regular updates on terminal performance, associated projects, and ongoing discussions to key stakeholders.
• Evaluate terminals’ annual budgets, including capital expenditure plans, and facilitate the approval process with Management.
• Analyze existing terminal processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement industry best practices.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless project management and execution.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Maritime Studies, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in container terminal management. Candidates with additional experience may be considered for senior roles.
• Strong business judgment and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
• Basic understanding of financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
• Open to candidates from other industries; experience in shipping or marine terminal operations is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of contract structures.

• 15-18 years’ experience in Web GIS, Desktop and Mobile GIS Applications Development using ESRI GIS technology
• Experience in FME Server and FME Work Benches is mandatory
• Experience in Java (Struts and Hibernate)/.Net
• Experience with PostGIS, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
• Knowledge of React JS/Angular JS is desired
• Experience in Architecting Large Scale Enterprise GIS Systems for Government, Utility, Port domains
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS Server Enterprise with Workflow Manager
• Support Presales and Sales team in writing proposals and architecting GIS Solutions and integration of GIS with Enterprise IT/Business Systems
• Develop PoC applications on latest technology
• Knowledge of AI/ML and IoT is additional advantage
