You will be working in the Data & Analytics organization to solve a wide range of business problems leveraging advanced analytics. You will deploy a flexible analytical skill set to deliver insightful data and analysis and model business scenarios. Your principal goal will be to use data to drive better business decisions. This means translating data into meaningful insights and recommendations and, where relevant, proactively implement improvements. You will be developing the business reporting and analysis for our internal operations world-wide. The job will require working closely with the various Business Units to understand their business question as well as the whole data team to understand and access available data.

Position Duties

• Drive analytical problem-solving and deep dives. Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine problems, applying advanced quantitative methods.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional partners to determine business needs, drive analytical projects from start to finish.
• Align with involved stakeholders to set up dashboards and reports to drive data driven decision across all departments
• Working very closely with our Data team, Tech and Product team to understand the business logic to generate accurate reports and correct analysis

• Able to commit for a period of at least 4 months
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Science, Engineering or relevant disciplines with a focus on data.
• Good knowledge in SQL, R and Python.
• Experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Google DataStudio or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Hybrid working arrangement

Responsibilities:

• Assists the Project Manager to manage and supervise execution of production works and ensure delivery of assigned projects.
• Assists the Project Manager in planning and prioritising the order of works and work methodology.
• Liaises with the project team to allocate adequate manpower and equipment resources.
• Monitors work progress on board vessels and in workshops.
• Chairs production meetings between Yard’s subcontractors, supervisor and ship’s staff to clarify work scope, co-ordinate sequence of work, update schedules and other contractual matters, as and when required
• Ensures works are carried out according to the job specifications in terms of quantity, quality and meeting Class/Owner requirements by developing test plans and arranging for inspection and survey for the Superintendents and Classification.
• Followings through the process of mechanical completion and commissioning scope of work
• Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship training in a marine trade
• Knowledge of various workshops dealing with specialised works in the industry
• Performs scheduled night duties and when required
• Attend to vessel’s need during weekends and public holidays
• Travel within the country or abroad for ship check
• Good knowledge of marine industry skills in any discipline. Knowledge of Hull, Mechanical, Piping & Electrical advantageous
• Good planning, organization, control, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good knowledge of project management software and other planning softwares
