Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily trading PNL for assigned desk and close the trading P/L on a timely basis. This includes preparation of journal entries for accounting team to book.
• Review and validate daily freight payable transactions in accounting system for accurate and timely payments.
• Update futures/options margin accounts breakdown by desk, per broker statement.
• Review general month-end accounting tasks by accounting team to ensure that the financial results are prepared and reported timely in accordance with IFRS and Singapore accounting standards as well as internal policies. This includes Statutory and Management reporting.
• Perform month-end trading and accounting PNL reconciliation to ensure no major discrepancies and differences are accounted for, provide commentaries as required.
• Work closely with Freight Operations, Trading, Execution and Accounting teams to ensure that financial transactions including trading accruals and provisions pertaining to trading books are accounted for properly in both trading and accounting systems, and that they are in line with IFRS.
• Liaise with Accounting teams in offshore Shared Services Centre to ensure that non-trading activities are booked accurately.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, local tax and government authorities where required, during quarterly GST filing, annual statutory audits, and annual MSI-AIS Award submissions.
• Engage actively in the ongoing process of automating tasks and constantly look for areas of improvement.
• Assist the Manager/Controller to assess and identify risks within the business and any other adhoc tasks as required.

Experiences:

• 1-2 years of experience in Product Control/Business Analysis/Management Accounting/Audit/FP&A from shipping/commodities industries preferred.
• Good understanding of futures markets, hedging and derivatives mechanisms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability, and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees & management.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to prioritize.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiative, proactive attitude toward problems and issues.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere.  Flexibility on working time during periodic closings.

The role requires a strong background and understanding of all cyber security domains. 

In this position, you will be part of the global cyber security operations team with focus on identification, analysis and response to cyber security threats and events. You will support the Head of our Cyber Security Operations Center in improving the effectiveness of the team and lead the planning, implementation, documentation as well actively coordinating and overseeing the service providers including MSSP.

Responsibilities

• Report to Finance Manager (member of ACCA and ISCA)
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using SAP B1
• Prepares monthly financial and management reports and submit to group reporting team at 2nd working day
• Accounts Payable – Verifying invoices, processing monthly payment to suppliers and resolving discrepancies if any.
• Work closely with Account executive to remind her to follow-up on overdue payments with customer
• Bank Reconciliation - Reconciling bank statements with the general ledger
• Prepares GST report quarterly
• Provide day-to-day assistance and administrative support to finance department
• Undertakes ad-hoc projects as assigned by manager and director

Requirement

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent qualification
• Must be independent with a positive working attitude
• Reporting to office, and remote work is not permitted
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines is essential
• High sense of responsibility and awareness of confidentiality is expected in handling work tasks

Key Responsibilities:

~ Operating the Can Line machine and to produce the required output within the quality control specification.

~ Ensure the machine is running smoothly and efficiently

~ To perform troubleshooting and resolve technical issues to minimize the disruption to production.

~ To perform trouble shooting related to defective and quality issue products timely and effectively.

~ Perform routine service and preventive maintenance of machine according to the schedule sets. Ensure documentation are correctly updated.

~ Able to perform change model (change size / change tooling) independently and ensure the products able to meet the quality control specification.

~ Monitor the production wastage and take remedial action when necessary.

~ To maintain the work area clean, safe and orderly

~ Maintain an effective communication between shifts
