Role Overview:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Commodities Trader to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the trading and physical execution of commodities across multiple regions, including but not limited to oil, gas, metals, agricultural products, and energy.
• As a Physical Commodities Trader, you will leverage your market knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and ability to manage complex logistics to source and deliver commodities to meet client needs. You will work closely with the supply chain, risk management, and operations teams to ensure the timely and efficient movement of physical goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trading & Sourcing: Identify market opportunities, execute buy and sell transactions for physical commodities, and build a network of suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and geopolitical developments to assess trading strategies and market risk.
• Negotiation: Negotiate trade terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners, ensuring favorable conditions for the company.
• Logistics Coordination: Oversee the transportation and delivery of physical commodities, coordinating with shipping, storage, and delivery teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with physical trading, including price volatility, supply chain disruptions, and credit risk.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, brokers, and internal teams.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, particularly in relation to commodity trading, logistics, and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in physical commodities trading (oil, gas, metals, agriculture, etc.) with a proven track record of successful trades and relationship management.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the commodities markets, including supply and demand fundamentals, price dynamics, and geopolitical factors that impact commodity pricing and availability.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends and develop actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategies and decisions to both internal teams and external partners.
• Education: A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Additional qualifications in commodities trading or risk management are a plus.

Job Description

• Handle customers’ enquiries (not limited to phone calls, email, live chat, instant messaging)
• Manage protocols (such as fire & emergency messages)

Working hours (Shift and rostered)

• Able to work in any of the following shift: AM – 7:30AM to 5:00PM, MID - 9:00AM to 6.30PM PM – 12:30PM to 10PM, 10PM to 7.30AM. Shift shall be rostered. - With 1 hour of meal time
• 5 day work week, inclusive of 1 weekend work day

1. Assist in the AirHub project where you are involved in the following not limited to:
   -Preparation and issuance of transfer letters
   -Coordinate with different business units on the collection of documents to faciliate Work Pass Application, including medical checks for foreign workers
   -Follow up with medical provider on the medical reports for foreign workers
   -Airport pass application for all employees involved in the transfer
2. Data Entries Clean-up
   -Job Titles updates - prepare the mass upload templates
   -Assist with OCR - Education update and previous Employment History - train the system and test out the various cert.
   -Date to Grade with Job events report to tally staff movement
   -AO & Mgr CCL/ECL reports - ways to combine the report for Gov Claims
   -Cancellation Report - ways to get the verification with TAMS, Staff Departure
3. Recruiting & Onboarding
   -Assist in system User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new recruitment and onboarding system
   -Assist to capture meeting minutes/discussion pointers and email to meeting recipient(s) post meeting.
   -Assist the team with recruitment and onboarding task when required.
   -Support in Recruitment fairs on weekday/weekend.

• Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, builder, etc) for the building and related facilities.
• Supervise sub-contractors who carry out approved repair works and scheduled maintenance in the building.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to execute preventive maintenance regime and/or ad-hoc upgrading project and monitor the work progress.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to attend to tenant’s feedback on the building and related facilities.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff when required.
