CONTRACTS MANAGER (MADAGASCAR)

Our client is one of the leading multi-disciplinary contractors in Singapore. They have a number of current large scale groundbreaking projects with tenders in place for some of Singapore’s most prestigious upcoming projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In-charge for the preparation and programs for commercial and contractual aspects related to the main contract and subcontracts
- Supervise commercial and contractual risk programs related to the project
- Engage in mitigation actions as quickly and efficiently
- Assesses external providers like vendors and subcontractors in terms of service and project deliverables.
- Convey contractual advisory from the commercial perspective to the project through all stages from construction to hand-over of the project
- Assist, monitor, report, plan and manage the Quantity Surveyor team in all the project and aspects of the job.
- Participate in continuous development and evaluate the processes, systems and policies based on the project’s contract organization and supervision.
- Guide on all contractual correspondence associated to the project, in view of the commercial impact
- Classify and evaluate on the contractual risk
- Handles contractual claims, disputes, settlements and resolution
- Discuss and interact with a variety of investors and partners both verbally and in written regarding notices eg. extension-of-time (EOT), change order, etc.
- Familiar in construction/contract law & different standard forms of contracts eg. FIDIC, NEC, etc.
- With leadership skills to handle internal and external stakeholders, deliberates strategically and critically, exercising decisions after checking all the factors.
- Must have analytical and problem-solving skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or any associated degree
- Minimum 10 to 15 years relevant working experience in contract negotiation, management and/ or administration
- Willing to be relocated to Madagascar
- Excellent project skills, good communication & interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Organized, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadline
