This person should be a team player with excellent communication skills, computer proficiency and high level of professionalism and familiar with Taiwan investment markets and technology sector.

What you’ll do

- Assist portfolio manager on investment research, financial statement analysis covering Asia Pacific including Taiwan market

- Ensure knowledge of entire investment solution suite, recommend investment solutions to Portfolio Manager;

- Prepare meeting materials; generate research materials – proprietary, economic commentary and Bloomberg etc. as needed

- Review exceptions and recommend strategy to resolve exceptions; and

- other tasks or projects as required.

What you’ll bring

What you need:

- A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the role of investment industry (such as Investment banks, Hedge Fund or Private Equity)

- In-depth knowledge in investment with focus on Taiwan equity market is a must

Program Overview

The Global Payments Solutions Analyst Program is an 18 month in-country program designed to provide Analysts with an opportunity to work alongside an experienced GPS team to prepare for a career in GPS. You will work closely with sales teams who cover clients from Corporates and Financial Institutions and product teams who cover payments & receipts, liquidity management, FX, commercial card and trade products. Upon completion of the program, you will be placed into one of these teams on a permanent basis.

For most countries in Asia Pacific, training begins when you will join newly-hired analysts from around the world for an intensive and highly structured few weeks to learn about our global company, its culture and all the relevant tools, techniques and working practices you’ll need to succeed. Summary:

• In this role, you will be engaged in a program covering the implementation of Recording and Surveillance for selected voice and chat channels, and the set-up of required controls, and our Client requires an experienced Consultant with strong business driven mindset to assist in the delivery.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management

• Acts as primary interface with business lines (Business COOs, Conduct & Control Officers, Front-Office Conduct & Surveillance) as well as Compliance to:
• Collect, analyze and document business scenarios for the use of voice and chat channels.
• Understand business interactions with clients and other external counterparties, and their expectations when communicating within the Bank.
• Identify risk and conduct scenarios and contribute to create the framework to address them, including user awareness and consequence management
• Establish and enforce a clear RACI with all stakeholders on the execution of their processes and controls.
• Drive IT teams (Voice, Chat, Archiving, Digital Working, IT Support, Access Management) to guarantee their delivery of:
• Robust technical solutions meeting business and client demands, whether internally developed or relying on vendors.
• Technical controls around proper archiving, security and surveillance of channels.
• Prioritize and plan with global teams the solutions expected by APAC within the global Voice & E-comm Record Keeping (VERK) and Surveillance frameworks.
• Obtain validation of APAC plans by global stakeholders through the established governance.

Project Management

• Track functional aspects of projects: business cases, operational controls, conduct risks and scenarios, legal requirements, awareness & training.
• Maintain synchronization with global and regional IT teams on their deliveries of archiving and surveillance solutions as well as technical controls to mitigate IT risks.
• Report progress and address project risks and issues with senior management.
• Contribute to providing regular updates in monthly steering committees and ad-hoc presentations.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Understanding of core banking businesses (Global Markets, Corporate Finance, Transaction Banking, Wealth Management) and interactions between front-officers (Sales, Relationship Managers, etc.) and their clients and other counterparties.
• Familiar with the technical set-up, usage, recording and surveillance of Voice and Chat communication channels which are most popular in APAC and globally.
• Knowledge of end-to-end technical flows into archiving and surveillance back-end systems.
• Comfortable with the use of Office tools to draft process and SOP documents, analyze data and track metrics, and present clear and concise updates and executive messages to senior management.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
