Duties

• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of full set of accounts
• Prepare financial data for entry into the financial system
• Keep accounting records and bank statements
• Prepare monthly audit schedules, maintain loan schedules
• Prepare and file GST returns
• Preparation of tax computation and tax planning
• Provide other supporting functions to the Division
• Other ad hoc duties

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Accounting with at least 2 years of experience in (Accounting Firm preferable), including keeping full sets of accounts and tax.
• Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• An independent team worker
• Able to work under stress to meet tight reporting deadlines

Job Description

• Perform full set of accounts
• Key in of purchase invoices into accounting system
• Perform Data Entry
• Ensure proper authorization of purchase according to procurement procedures
• Perform AR/AP functions such as Billing, preparation of payments and invoicing
• To reconcile vendors’ SOA to our accounting record
• To report of debtors with impairment indications
• To take appropriate action against debtors for slow or no payment
• To follow up on collection
• To prepare audit schedule assigned and update accounting record
• Prepare bank reconciliation
• Assist in month end closing activities
• Assist preparation for GST return, corporate income tax return, ECI
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Maintain material master register
• Able to support ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

• Preferably 2 year(s) of relevant working experience in construction / process / marine / engineering industry
• Able to take responsibility, being accountable.
• Good Team Player but able to work on own initiative.
• Good attitude, communication & coordination skills.
• Ability to fulfil time-critical tasks on time, keep schedules and deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime when requires.

Job Scope:

• Be responsible for end-to-end accounting and GST submission on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Lead and supervise the team and work well with management in meeting targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Analysis of accounts.
• Perform payment forecast and monitor cashflow.
• Manage the operational and workflow management.
• Develop & implement process improvements.
• Liaising with Auditors.
• Any other assignment as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding experience.
• Moderate Microsoft Excel skills i.e. use of excel functions, pivot table etc. is an advantage.
• Possesses excellent leadership skills to motivate and manage team, set goals, and provide guidance.
• Ability to work independently with high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, meticulous and committed individual who can work with little supervision under tight deadlines.
• Good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
